Facilities at JEMTC Greater Noida: Library, Auditorium, & Others

I took admission in JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus, Greater Noida to pursue my B.Tech in Computer Science and so, far my experience at this institute has been really positive. The reason I chose this institute was my friend, who studied from this institute and gave a very positive review. This gave me confidence before joining and I can say that the institute has lived up to my expectation. The faculty here is very supportive and knowledgeable about their subjects. Other good thing about this institute is that it is affiliated to GGSIPU New Delhi, which is a central university.

I enrolled in the B.Tech Computer Science Engineering (CSE) course at this institute. My motive in choosing this course was a sheer passion towards computers and programming. This makes you industry ready and gives you required skills for current job market. Also, JEMTC Greater Noida has various societies, one of them is Hash tag society, which is exclusively for Computer Science students and they regularly organize hackathons to provide practical insights. To be eligible for this institute, you have to take JEE Main exam and you should have a combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in your 12th standard along with this a minimum of 55% marks in 12th boards. There are also some management quota seats, but for that you have to contact the management team of the college. The admission process is very simple and easy to follow. You need your JEE score card, 10th, 12th, mark sheet, and your caste certificate (if you have any) during admission. My academic experience so far has been really good; the academic facilities at this institute are designed to enhance the future opportunities for the students. Professors here are extremely knowledgeable with industrial experience in respective fields, which helps in providing practical insights along with theories. According to the latest bulletin by GGSIPU, we have a total of 3 exams; 2 mid terms and 1 end term examination in a semester. The frequency of exams provides us enough time for preparation and self study.

The annual tuition fee for my institute is around Rs. 1,50,000 and total fee ranges from Rs. 5,50,000 to Rs. 6,00,000. It includes all the charges such as security fee and others. If you are applying through GGSIPU portal you have to submit a total of Rs. 2,500 as application form fee. There are scholarships for students who have a BPL ration card or students with annual income of less than Rs. 2,50,000.

All the faculty members teaching us are well qualified from respected institutes. The teachers give their all for students’ growth and encourage us to discuss our academic problems with them. They do not rush the topics and provide enough time for each student to grasp each concept. Professors here starts from the basics to advance so, every individual student is benefitted. Student teacher bonding here is very positive. I would say faculty here is very strict about discipline and don't tolerate any misconduct. The student-teacher ratio here is around 60:8; I think more teachers should be hired, as sometimes learning gets difficult.

JEMTC Greater Noida has a dedicated placement cell. It helps to clear all our doubts regarding placements. A decent amount of companies visit the campus during placement drives. The placement cell trains the students for interviews and other job related opportunities. Though the institute provides good placement opportunities but you yourself have to find internships. Some major recruiters at the institute are IBM, TCS, Infosys, etc.

Institute offers residential facilities for students, there are separate hostels for both boys and girls. Hostels are clean and well furnished. Hostel fee for a non AC room is Rs. 1,15,000 whereas for an AC room, it is Rs. 1,35,000 rupees. The hostel includes amenities like laundry, mess, Wi-Fi, gym, CCTV surveillance, geyser, water cooler, AC, and attached washroom for every room. Hygienic and nutritious food is provided in the hostel mess, the institute also has a canteen from which students can buy meals and beverages. The entry closes at 8 PM and no one would be allowed to enter after that without any valid reason.

The institute’s campus is located in Greater Noida, Knowledge Park area. The campus is spread across an area of 5.5 acres of land. The buildings maybe old but are well maintained and kept clean & tidy. Internet facilities are equipped in every part of the campus. The institute has air conditioned and well spacious classrooms. The library is fully equipped with AC and computers. It is well maintained, noise free, and is fully stocked with course and non course books. The seminar hall & auditorium are quite large with comfortable seating and proper ventilation. Canteen, sports area, and medical rooms all are present with required amenities. For transport, there is one institute bus especially for students who come from Delhi. The amphitheater is my favorite place in the institute campus because most of the guest lectures take place here.

The campus life here quite joyful, there are various clubs and societies like Navras, Hash tag, Geek room, and other local clubs. These clubs and societies organize events like hackathons, cultural functions, singing & dancing events, sports tournament, etc. Hackathons and other events happen quite frequently. Fresher’s party, annual party, farewell party, and all other fests are celebrated in this institute. The seniors here are very helpful; they share their valuable insight with us. In my experience the campus life here is wonderful, it’s like there's an event every other week. I am enjoying my college quite well here.
