JEMTEC Greater Noida: An Unbiased Opinion of 2nd Year Student

Overall Rating
My overall experience as second year B.Tech student at JIMS Greater Noida has been average so far. I chose this Institute because of location and availability of B.Tech course. The campus has facilities like library, labs, events, a canteen, and printing shop, which are useful for students. Overall, the Institute is okay but the way of teaching could definitely be improved to make learning better for students.
 

Academics Rating
I chose the B.Tech course because I was interested in the Engineering and Technology field & wanted to improve my technical skill. The admission process in the Institute was simple and hassle free. Students need to meet the basic eligibility criteria i.e., completing 12th Standard with Science and have good JEE Main scores. Exams are conducted in a semester wise pattern which include internal test and assignment in each semester.
The fees structure is moderate as compared to other Institute. The one year fee of B.Tech course is 1,50,000/-, including tuition fees, admission, and registration charges. There are also some other additional charges. Scholarship and financial supports options are available for EwS students. The overall fee is manageable for many students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members at JIMS Greater Noida are mixed in terms of teaching quality. Some teachers have good academic background and experience in their subjects. They usually teach using blackboard, PPTs, and some group discussions in class. A few faculty members are very helpful and try to solve students doubt, but other could improve their teaching to clear concept and clearly explain the topic to students. The teacher to student ratio is average, so students can interact with teacher when needed.
 

Placement Rating
The placement opportunities at JIMS Greater Noida are average. The Institute has a Placement C and it organises training sessions, workshop, and placement-related activities which include basic interview preparation, resume building sessions, and skill development programs. Some companies visit the campus for recruitment (mainly offering entry level positions).
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facilities at JIMS Greater Noida are basic but manageable for students who want to stay in campus. The Institute provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Each room is shared by students and has basic amenities like beds, study tables, and storage space. The hostel also has mess facilities that provide 3 meals in a day.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is decent and provides basic facilities for students. The campus has academic blocks with classrooms that have good seating capacity & basic teaching aids. The Institute also has facilities like a library, computer labs, seminar halls, and spaces for academic activities. There is canteen where students can get food and spend time during breaks. The campus also provides basic sports and security facilities.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is average. The crowd is normal and students from different background study here. They are some clubs for students to engage in extracurricular activities. However, student often get less free time to participate in such activities & focus on academics and social life.

    JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus Greater Noida is one of the most successful Colleges in our area. It provides us with multiple opportunities as well as extracurricular activities.
