Government Medical College: Best Place for MBBS Aspirants

Overall Rating
The infrastructure of Government Medical College is good. Moreover, it has best teacher and faculty. The college is located in the nice city as students can get transportation for 24/7. The campus is fully secured. My experience was also very good. For me, it was the best college.
 

Academics Rating
I pursued UG MBBS course from this university. Basic eligibility was to be 12th passed with PCB stream. Admissions are done through NEET UG. This entrance exam is conducted once a year. After giving this particular exam, one needs to take part in online counseling of this exam, which is MCC; it takes place in 3 rounds. Frequent mock tests are conducted. Additionally, there is hospital training for fixed hours per day; it is compulsory for students to gain both practical and theoretical knowledge. All the things including classes and training period were scheduled as per the academic calendar. Class timings were: 8 AM to 2 PM.
Fee for four-year UG MBBS course is approximately Rs. 80,000 for academic and Rs. 40,000 for hostel per year. We paid hostel fee in the semester wise pattern. In addition, there are separate mess charges. I paid Rs. 5,000 at the time of admission.
 

Faculty Rating
During my time, all the faculty members were doctors who completed their Master’s degree in respective subject. Most of the teachers preferred teaching with PPTs and some taught with blackboards. Group and panel discussions were also held in between the classes. Everyone was allowed to ask any doubt or query during academic hours. There was one teacher for every 10 students along with 1 PG trainee for every 5 students. Every teacher and faculty member was so kind and always supportive to the students.
 

Placement Rating
In MBBS course, students have to serve in any government hospital for the period of 2 years. Apart from this, students can also practice as a doctor in the rural area or pursue PG degree.
 

Hostel Rating
There are total on-campus 8 hostels in Government Medical College out of which 4 are for boys, 1 for girls, and 2 common hostels for PG students. Every hostel has its own mess facility that provide good quality food. Hostels are open for 24/7. There are guards for every hostel. Hostel is the best place.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus has academic block. Each classroom has sitting capacity of 250 students and it outfitted with projector and LEDs. College has its own air conditioned central library with books and other learning material. Furthermore, there is an auditorium for cultural festival and conferences. There is also a large open area and park for walking & jogging. Campus is built in very huge area and has major facilities such as gym, cricket ground, basketball ground, volleyball ground along with some indoor facilities.
 

Campus Rating
For me, it is the best campus with all facilities. Every batch has 250 students. During my time, there were almost 1000 UG students and 250 PG students. Regular college festivals and dj parties were organized by. There were also multiple clubs for outing and enjoyment. Annually, sports week, cultural week, and celebration for the festivals like dandiya night; Holi, Diwali, Lohri, etc. were organized by student and college committees multiple times in a year.

    Overall, this college has the largest campus compared to other medical colleges in Rajasthan. Teaching facility is good. The library is the top notch infrastructural aspect of this college.
