IPU-CET for BCIPS New Delhi's BBA Course

My overall experience at Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies is average. The campus is quite small. The fests conducted here are average. But the plus point is that sometimes, when the college conducts any fest inside the campus, they do not charge any fee. The college is average. The one factor that made me choose this college was my IPU CET rank. My rank in the entrance exam was 5500. Another plus point is that the college is near to the Dwarka Sector 11 Metro Station. There is only a 100 m distance from the metro. You don't need to take any rickshaw to reach there.

The course chosen by me is BBA because I was interested in pursuing Commerce and Management. The course curriculum is designed by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, which is focused towards the theoretical approach. To Apply into this college you have to give IPU CET entrance exam and then fill the preference sheet. If you rank is till 8000, you can easily get into this college till the third or spot round. After applying you can reserve your seat as per the structure and instructions designed by the GGSIPU. The exams conducted here are of moderate difficulty. If a student has studied well in the class, the student can easily score full marks in the internals. Through academic curriculum, you can only learn the theoretical concepts. However, presentations are conducted here to prepare you for the real life challenges as well.

For the first year in general category, you have to pay the fee around Rs. 1,25,000 including all the additional charges. For the second year, you have to pay around Rs. 1,00,000 and for the third year you have to pay around Rs. 1,00,000. The fee may vary depending on the instructions given by the GGSIPU.

The faculty here is highly qualified and experienced. Some of the faculty members are very good in their respective fields. They teach subjects of both courses, BBA as well as MBA. Some of the faculty members are very old and they have an experience of more than 20 years but some of the faculty members are new having at least 2 years of teaching experience. The teaching method differs as per the teacher. Some of the teachers are very good at teaching that they do not require any PPT to teach. They give real life examples to make students understand better, whereas some of the teachers require study materials, PPTs, and blackboards to teach. All the faculty members of BCIPS New Delhi are highly approachable and are of a friendly nature. They provide the best guidance in professional as well as in the personal life. Overall, the faculty here is excellent.

Yes, there is a placement cell in the college. But the placements offered here are average. A student can expect a package of 3 LPA on an average for BBA, whereas for MBA a student can expect an average package of 5 LPA. The placement cell provides opportunities but not from the top companies. The companies here are also average. But the placement cell conducts workshops and seminars to prepare the students for the interviews. The placement cell also provides internship opportunities to the students. But most of the students prepare for the off campus placements because the package offered here is really low.

No, there are no hostel facilities provided by the college. The college campus closes by 4 PM in the evening.

The campus size is quite small. As for sports, it only has a basketball court. The campus has a lift facility which can be used by the students but sometimes the lift is closed for the maintenance purpose. The classrooms have a seating capacity of around 60 students and each classroom is well equipped with air conditioners and projectors. But the projectors are not used most of the time because they have got some technical issues. The college has a Library, which has good collections of books but is of the older editions. There is a seminar hall in the basement and 2 Computer labs, in which one of the labs is closed all the time and is in use only when external viva is conducted. There is a canteen in the college but is also average in terms of food quality. Transport facilities are not provided here. The college is equipped with CCTV cameras for security purposes. The facilities provided here are average.

I would say the overall campus life is average. Some of the activities are good, where everyone wants to participate. There are various clubs such as Eco Club, Entrepreneurship Development cell, Cultural Club, Placement Cell, Literary Cell, Social Club, NSS cell, etc. BCIPS New Delhi conducts many extracurricular activities such as sports events, cultural fests, excel workshops, etc. The college plans to conduct fests but fails to execute it on the planned date, but when conducted it is good. Overall, my college life is going smooth.
