Admission Process of PES's Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce

My experience at PES’s College was very good. It was very great decision to choose this college. It is not just an college but it treats us as a family. The teachers over there are very friendly and help us in every situation. I chose this college because it is an internationally recognized college and had a great history. I am glad to be a part of this college. The friendly nature of teachers and co-curricular activities & events make it different from others. It also plays vital role in one's life as well as my life in building my career choices as well as showing the right path.

I chose Psychology because I had interest in this subject and wanted to learn about human mentality and all the aspects around it. I think the college does not only teach Psychology but also how to apply in modern era and everyday life. Entry requirements are above 75% in 12th grade. Admission process in the college is very smooth. One just has to fill the form by entering details of 12th results. You can also visit offline in the college and by doing so, the administrative office will provide you with brochure in which all, the information about the college is added. There are four exams in a year: 2 internals and 2 externals. There are additional practical exams twice a year. The course and the academics not only prepare you for examination purposes but also prepare you for real life challenges and real life experiences it place a vital role in one's life.

The fee of the chosen course is Rs. 25,000 per year, making it Rs. 12,500 per semester. All the charges like the tuition fee, admission fee and registration fee are all included in it. If you come under SC & ST category, you get concession and have to pay only Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 8,000. There are scholarships and financial aids for the students, which start from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2,500 respectively.

The faculty members are very friendly as well as supportive in co-curricular activities. The teachers are also very down to earth and friendly nature is present in them. The college itself is filled with positive energy and motivation. Faculty members teach using PPT, blackboards as well as group discussion take place. The problem solving ability of the faculty is very strong and reliable. The ratio of student to teacher is 20:1. The faculty members are very much approachable as well as friendly and help us if you are stuck in some problem.

The cell present in PES’s College helps the student to apply for job and internships to gain experience. The placement related activities and programs are carried out every 2 months. Renowned companies such as Wipro, Infosys, and Microsoft visit the college for recruitment for possess. The average package offered by the companies range from Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 18,000 per month whereas highest packages are Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000. The placement experience was very good as well as it help me in my financial journey.

Yes, PES’s College offers residential facilities. There are 480 rooms and 800 students are living in the hostel as well as facilities over there are very good and affordable. There are many recreational activities for the hostels. Yes, girls’ and boys’ hostels are separate. The quality of food is great and at a very low price which is affordable the food is given two times a day. Hostel fee is Rs. 20,000 per year and Rs. 900 per month. The in-time of hostel are 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM

The campus size is very huge and great. The locality of the campus is good as it is situated in front of Savitribai Phule University Pune. The campus falls at the heart of the city. Academic facilities are provided by the college such as library, Labs, seminar hall, conference hall, auditorium, as well as ground for matches. The canteen is very hygienic. The sports are supported widely throughout the college. The medical facilities are also great and the security is tight. My favorite place in the college is volleyball court and the basketball court.

My overall campus life is great. The college crowd is great as well as friendly. Yes, there are few clubs related to the college I am part of one of them it is organized in New Year. There are many extracurricular activities organized by the college such a Shiv Jayanti, Ambedkar Jayanti, Independence, and Republic Day. There are many festivals celebrated in the college such as traditional day, Bollywood day, and Hero day. My experience about day campus life of the college is great and I would like others to join this college as well.
