My Personal Views on SIET Prayagraj

Overall Rating
From my experience, SIET Prayagraj is an average institute where 75% attendance is mandatory to maintain. The factors that made me choose this institute is fee structure; it is respectively lesser then many other private institutes. If you are good in sports, then institute also gives opportunities for that and regularly conduct annual sports. There is no ragging here and it is the best part of it. Various non-technical events also take place on a regular basis. If I talk about department then Electronic faculty is much better than any other faculty.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Electronics and Communication Engineering and I am currently in 3rd year. I chose this course because seats in CS branch were already filled. You can come through JEE scores or through management quota. There are total of 8 semester exams. You will study around 40 subjects during span of 4 years. There are total 20 students in my department. However, academic curriculum needs to be updated.
The fee is around Rs. 80,000 per year. In addition, you have to pay Rs. 8,000 extra for exam fee. If you are from UP, you can apply for state government’s scholarship.
 

Faculty Rating
As I am in ECE department, the faculty members in my department are very nice. They are very kind and ebullient in nature. ECE faculty members are well educated. Their teaching style is better than other faculties. Almost all of them have qualified tough exams. One of them has scored 46 out of 100 in GATE 2025. Teaching is usually done on white board. If you are good student, then you can easily build a better bond with your professor. They will understand your issues or problems sincerely and help to clear doubt.
 

Placement Rating
I hope SIET Prayagraj pays more attention over the placements
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the institute provides hostel facilities. The hostel facilities are good. There is a big ground in the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
If I talk about academic blocks, each one of them has 4 classrooms (each for different years). Each department has its own seminar hall, distinct labs for different subjects. Campus size is below average. Classroom has AC with a seating capacity of 60 students. We have canteen with variety of food options. My favorite part of institute’s infrastructure is library, which is above average. Recently a new lab has been constructed where students work over their projects; it is equipped with equipment such 3d printer, robotics material, etc.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life has been decent. The institute is crowded because of various courses like BCA, BBA, MBA, etc. There are 2 clubs: technical & non-technical and both are very active. Various fests and events takes place every year and many student participates in them. Our annual fest is called ‘Eureka’. As I have already said, campus life is average where it is mostly focused on academics with lesser industrial visits.
