About SCET Hyderabad: Perspective of a Fresher

Overall Rating
SCET Hyderabad is an autonomous college. It is on the main road and bus stand is 2 minute away. It also provides transport facility. Seniors are friendly, atmosphere is great, and has good infrastructure.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen CSE, which is good field and has good scope in future. You have to be 12th passed and if you want convener seat, you have to write EAMCET. If you are not from Telangana, you have to take management seat for which you have to visit college. There will be 2 semesters in each year and each semester will be of 4 to 5 months. There will be 2 mid exams, 1 internal lab exam, 1 external lab, and finally end semester exams.
If you are taking management seat, you have to pay 1 Lakh per year. Yearly, common service fee is Rs. 4,000 and transport fee is Rs. 2,500, there no financial aid available in college.
 

Faculty Rating
In my department, the HOD is good and supporting. Faculty is also friendly and well qualified. They have good teaching experience and PhDs. they teach on blackboard and provide notes and reference books. Sometimes, group discussions are also conducted by them. They make sure that each one of us has understood the concept clearly.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in our college. The cell gives updates about courses, internships, and jobs opportunities. Companies visit the college to recruit students. The highest package offered is 10 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
No, SCET Hyderabad doesn't have any residential facility. There are many hostels nearby the campus. All of them provide quality food, Wi-Fi, and security.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is huge as its area is around and has greenery. It has 2 grounds and 2 to 3 blocks. The locality is also good. There is big library. 3 computer labs, multiple other labs, seminar hall, and 1 auditorium. There is also a canteen with vegetarian and non- vegetarian food options; it has nice sitting arrangement. Besides our campus, there is a medical campus with hospital, so medical facilities are good. College is secure and has safe environment.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is good and friendly. College crowd is also good and friendly. Yes, there are clubs in college & you can join them. However, I am not a part of any club. There will be sports week. College teams also participate in other colleges’ sports week. Freshers will be held in the college for juniors by seniors in the first semester. My campus life is good.
