My Journey in VSB Engineering College, Karur

Overall Rating
According to my experience in this college, since I joined here, I gained real-time experience of everything. Over all, the college life has been above average. If you come to the college for studying and enhancing your knowledge, then it is the best choice. The main factor that made me choose this college was the placements that are being done efficiently by the placements staff. They focus on the students’ major purpose of their life and help them out.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, B. Tech, so my motive for choosing this course is to enhance my Machine Learning knowledge and develop my career. An entry requirement of the college is, you have to undergo counseling that is conducted by TNEA after which college will be allotted to you. They have some relaxation in fee and scholarships for reserved category students.
In my college, AIDS counselling fees is Rs. 1,25,000, Management fees is more than Rs. 3,00,000 and CSE fees is Rs. 1,25,000.
 

Faculty Rating
To say about the faculty, they are very punctual and they do not blindly teach us but they teach us by using smart boards and others with blackboards. The problem solving ability of faculty seems to be good and each faculty in the college has atleast 2 years experience (except the new faculties in the Department Of Physics and Mechanical). Many professors are Doctorate holders and others with the assistant professor role. The students are slightly more in the ratio of the teachers and the students.
 

Hostel Rating
Girls and Boys hostels are provided separately.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of VSB Engineering College, Karur is being developed more right now. Compared to the previous years, they are building new laboratories and extending their building floors due to the range of the admissions from this year. The locality is very difficult to reach as it is surrounded by some wasteland. For an emergency, we can go to the nearest town even though college has some medical facilities. It has a separate canteen for boys and girls.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life at VSB Engineering College, Karur is not too bad, but I am happy with this. I like the way of the teaching, the way they prepare us for the placements and the way they make us learn a particular topic. College crowd is increasing gradually year by year. There are many extracurricular activities such sports, gym yoga, etc. Other than that, events such as ‘Vaagai’ (the annual day), ‘Mazhya’ as boy’s hostel day and ‘Arora’ as girl’s hostel day, are also celebrated.
