Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College MBBS Review By Mr. Amruta Smruti Amlan

I have been a student of Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital since April 2022, till now I have experienced many good things In my life. Faculty were top notch but there is a bit shortage in staff but the efforts of the teachers didn't make us feel that way. We have celebrated several Pujas, Functions, some emotional farewells

Taking about academics, we have a total of 19 subjects in MBBS. For entry into the college we have first give NEET UG and though selection we entered into the college. Each subject has a minimum of 4 to 5 teachers for teaching us. Academic block contains 4 Lecture Theatre along with demo rooms for each non clinical subject.

From the 19 subjects in MBBS, Each subject has a minimum of 4 to 5 teachers for teaching us. These include Professors and Tutors. Qualification of professor may be MBBS, MD/MS or may be Super specialist. Tutors are basically JR and SR., With qualification of MBBS or MBBS + Post PG. Background are they all are Doctors who save life and also teaches us.

A compulsory internship of 1 year is provided by the college after completion of the course.

Yes I reside in hostel, Hostel fees is 10k per year, Fooding fees is separate and cost 50k per year. Except Monday all day non veg along with veg. Mutton on Sunday. Recreation room is there. Study room is also there. Room for staying of 4 students.

Campus consists of Administration and academic block of 5 floors, department block of 5 floors including 2 departments in each floor. A boy’s hostel, girl’s hostel, intern hostel, a resident doctor’s hostel, auditorium, 3 staff quarters building and a Gym. Academic block contains 4 Lecture Theatre where theory classes were taken. Library facilities are also available. A study room of capacity of 50 students is also there in block. A cafeteria is also there for fooding in the block. Apart from that a new building is also been building for hostel, and a new hospital building is also been in work in progress.

This is my first stay outside my home alone. But here after coming to college it's like my 2nd home. Seniors were very interactive and competitive and we're by your side in your problems and celebrate in your victory. Various Functions like Annual Function: Elixer, Academic fests, Dramatic Fest, Cultural fest were also celebrated and we do a lot of masti. Many Awareness camp and health camp were also organised in association with Health and welfare department of Govt. Total of 600 students along with 100 interns and Many professor and tutor were staying in campus.
