Choose Stewart Science College, Cuttack for B.Sc (Hons.)

Established in 1944, Stewart Science College is one of the reputed, academically, and cultural prestigious colleges in Cuttack. With co-ed, it also provides academic diversity in fields of science, cultural exposure, and well-maintained student-teacher association. When I joined the college, I had no major expectations but the college gave me many opportunities. I will forever be grateful for. Along with studies, it gave me scope to participate in social events such as blood donation, plantation, exhibitions, and national seminars. Overall, the college has a consistent record of accomplishment of excellence in various domains.

The reason I chose this college is that it is well known across Odisha for its academic caliber. It provides Higher Secondary Education i.e. 11th and 12th (10+2), along with graduation (+3) in the field of Science. It has newly and successfully launched a Post Graduation batch, which has already proven its worth. To get in, one has to enroll here, which is a portal for admission into reputed colleges at State level in Odisha. Selection processes include students clearing the predestined cut-off scores. Teachers and lecturers along with the staff provide a healthy, undisturbed, focused environment for studies.

The fee structure for both 10+2 and +3 include about Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 16,000 in terms of admission at first. In addition, the monthly fee includes nearly Rs. 400/- for both.

The faculties of our college are talented, social, and caring. They promote not only educational but also moral values among the students. Almost every professor has completed their PhD in their respective subject and is very welcome of solving every doubt one has. Personally, I am very fond of our faculties irrespective of departments at graduation levels. All the professors are friendly and great mentors to eradicate any confusion I have ever had.

Our college provides a range of placement opportunities in IT sectors in the corporate world. Not only that, higher education and research in particular fields are also promoted. In fact, many students for so higher education in well established colleges like IITs, NITs, and Central Universities. I personally am an undergraduate in Botany and I have been encouraged by my peers and professors to develop skills that align with my academics and the real world.

No, the college does not provide official hostel facilities. However, private PGs are available nearby in walk able distance with great food, safety, and sanitation.

The college has expensive facilities, several departments, smart classes, and a central massive hall along with a badminton court. There is a vast field in the middle of college, which provides greenery and a place for sports and relaxation. A garden full of several plants delivers calm in between chaos. There is a gym and E-library, which provides space for students to not only be social but also be engaged with them in solitude. The library is stocked with academic books along with best selling literature books, which provide essential perspective to students. Parking for vehicles spacious and brilliantly organized. Canteen is hygienic and affordable for students. Extra communication classes are held in order to increase real life essential skills.

Stewart Science College provides one of the best campus lives in Cuttack. The variety and diversification of race, religion and culture is not noticeable when it comes to unity and highly vibrant when it comes to learning from it. Constant events, programs after the academic house provide time for education and composure simultaneously. YRC, NCC, and NSS are predominantly 3 groups under which students are given training to do social work, rearing new and meaningful connections and increase in networking skills. Fun and coaching goes parallels. Students are generally helpful and resilient. Several food outlets and malls are nearby of the campus, which gives an easy access to required materials.
