Eligibility Criteria and Fees of RIT Roorkee

RIT Roorkee focuses on the growth of its students by giving them their course specialized extra classes like Web Development in my case, which helped me realize the course and take my first steps as a Frontend Developer. I learnt a lot about computers such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In addition, many fun activities are also conducted in the institute and would willingly invite many new students to start their journey in Roorkee Institute of Technology.

I chose the course Computer Science Engineering that most students in Roorkee Institute of Technology opted for. For entry to this institute, one must have over 60% in his/her 12th boards. It also conducts an online meeting to test the students knowledge.

The fee structure for this institute comes at around Rs. 2,00,000 for my course including hostel and academic without considering the exam fee. For students from North-East India and Nepal. It provides special discount on hostel.

Most of teachers are actually friendly and are most welcome to students with difficult in studies or those who did not understand the explanation done in class. On a regular basis, they help student with technical stuff. They are highly experienced teachers who have finishes their PhD is on their respective subjects and courses. Different teachers are given to different classes and they provide a helpful class, which helps each student to understand his/hers subjects.

There is a placement cell in the institute, which organises different programs for the students as am cat test and even helping the students prepare for this test. It also assist the companies in organizing programs related to helping them with their placement and even giving them in hand experience. It also conducts soft skills extra classes to help the students improve their discipline, communication skills, leadership skills & etiquette.

There are 4 floors for the boys’ hostel. Each floor has 70 rooms each in which there are rooms, which are in double & triple sharing and one, which is 3 seaters. The girls hostel is separate and there are 3 floors for the girls hostel. The timing for the girls to get inside the hostel is upto 6:30 PM and for the boys it is 8:30 PM. The hygiene of foods in the mess is clean and we can take extra quantity as much as we want till full. The fee for hostel is Rs. 80,000 annually. For the boys hostel, there are around 600 students alone. In addition, inside the hostel there is a badminton court for the students to play with indoor sports like table tennis and snooker.

In each class, there are 60 students. The campus has a size of 250 square meters. The canteen is really large and rebuilt into a bigger part and sells food, which are to the students liking. There is a doctor stationed at the institute to provide necessary medical help to a student if sick as fast as possible. There is security in front of each hostel, institute, and institute gate for the safety of the students. For sports, there is a basketball court, football ground, cricket ground and badminton court.

Overall, RIT Roorkee has good campus life. There are many clubs situated in the institute like for sports and stuff. Events like Anugoonj are conducted in Roorkee Institute of Technology where famous Mathematicians such as Anand Kumar, the founder of Super 30 came to inspire the students for their studies and to become one of many famous prospects. I would really recommend people to study in this institute for the amazing opportunities this institute has given me.
