Manipal University's Hostels: Separate Blocks & Hygienic Meals

My experience in MAHE is very exciting and enjoyable. After COVID, I wanted to do my M.Sc in Data Science so one of my mutual friend suggested me MAHE as he have passed out from there. I will also suggest this university to others as educational system, practical knowledge and placement options are great over here. I find the professors are very friendly and good people. Even the help desk is always available via mail and call. Whenever we have any issue, it usually gets solved within 24 hours. I love that about my university. Job fairs, meetups and many events are also there which I enjoy.

As there's evolving world mostly in AI, I got interested in how everything works. So, for coding knowledge and all I choose this course. To get admission in this university you have to have the minimum percentage of 60 in 10+2 and there are many scholarships according to our score in exams. It's normal procedure as every other university. You just have to submit your certificates and all then after their confirmation, you will get admission. In my course there are 4 semester with projects, quizzes, and descriptive assignments. Theory papers help us gain knowledge, which we can use for our real life experience, and for the practical knowledge we have different projects which actually help me to get the knowledge about the practical real world.

We have Rs. 65,000 fee per semester. I got the scholarship, so my fees are Rs. 58,000 per semester. There are no registration fees or extra charges applicable. We just have to pay Rs. 6,500 as the admission charges. But if you fail, then there will be some charges for the re-sitting of exam. Scholarships are there for students according to the score, caste, gender, etc.

Data science faculty members are really interesting. I love attending the classes I don’t even miss a single class unless it's an emergency. They present through PPT. If we have doubts there is an online page where we share our doubts and get the answers. One on one session also happened time to time. Student ratio is a bit high according to teacher. I have a great bonding and experience with faculty members.

Placement cell starts from second semester of our university life. Students apply their forms and make profiles online to find their choice of jobs easily. Session and webinars also happen to explain us how to clear our interviews and all. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Flipkart visit our university for recruitment. Packages depend on the experience we have as we have some workers as students.

Our university provides residential facilities. Boys and girls hostel are separate. Food is healthy and hygienic. They provide food 3 times a day. 7 PM is the curfew. 9 PM we have our dinner and till 11 PM light must be out.

Campus is very large, we have libraries, labs, seminar halls, auditorium room and a conference hall. We also have canteen, a field, indoor space for sports, medical room, buses for transport and proper security systems. Sitting in the library and reading whatever books I want is a fun part for me I really enjoy that part and I will miss this. Other than that we have garden area where we usually hangout. Our university have great place for hangout.

Everyone enjoys their university life. It's really crowded and lively. There are many clubs, which I am a part of. I am not good at extracurricular activities but there are year-round extracurricular activities here. Every year in February and November, we have meetups and fests. I enjoy my university life a lot and I will highly recommend this university. It also organises sports events and those who don't like sports can attend events like painting singing acting dancing writing and many more.
