What Every Student Should Know About MITS Ernakulam?

Overall Rating
I joined this institute in 2022. Firstly, the main thing I noticed is the number of placements from there. Many students got placed from there. Now it is ranking no 2 in all Kerala. From my experience, it is a better option choose MITS Ernakulam if u need to focus on your career. They make us the way we need; they will guide us through the path that we need to go. Many cultural activities are conducted here. They also give importance to sports. Overall, it is good to choose this institute. As a student from there, I can say that, joining here was the best decision.
 

Academics Rating
Academics wise it is very good. Exams are conducted smoothly. Teachers guide us in a proper way. They provide extra knowledge for the things we need. I chose Civil Engineering because I am interested in Structural Engineering. The eligibility criterion is, we should pass KEAM and score a good marks. Admission is through college management by looking the marks sports quota is also available.
The fees will depend on the scholarship. It varies from person to person. It is also increases if we are not able to maintain a SGPA of 7.5 in each sem. My fee is Rs. 35,000 per year as I am a sports quota student.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are really good. They are qualified teachers and have experience of teaching for so many years. They are very helpful. They teach the way we need. If we do not get anything, they will provide extra time for us to make us feel comfortable with what we are learning. Faculty members support us in all the manners. They help us to build ourselves, guide us, and show us the right path.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are brilliant in MITS Ernakulam. As we get placement training form 2nd year onwards, we will be able to give our best while placements are going on. They conduct placement exams for the same. They find our weaknesses and train us for the betterment.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is well maintained. Specific curfew time for getting inside the hostel is there. Food is good and hygienic. Overall, it is good. Girls and boys hostel are separate. Hostel fee depends on the room we select as 2 bed, 4 bed, and 6 bed, rooms are there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus contains 2 blocks. One is Ramunagan block and other M. George block. All the first years Civil, MEC and EC are in the M. George block and other departments are in Ramunagan block. One basketball court, volleyball court, cricket ground, football ground, and badminton court are there. Library, mess hall, canteen, and cafes are also there inside the campus. Classrooms are well maintained and good. My favorite place is basketball court.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is good. I am 4th year student. I enjoyed a lot over there. Overall, it is something that we can never forget. There are many clubs like IEEE, Rotaract, etc. Many extracurricular activities in our campus help the students to gain more knowledge. There is college fest called ‘Varnam’ arts fest and ‘Shreshta’ tech fest. Singers like Harishankar performed here, followed by sun down parties.

    I am currently a second year at the institution and it has been a wonderful journey there. It is a wholesome experience to live in an environment that makes us more focused towards studies. I chose this institute due to its supportiveness towards students and its placement opportunities. This institution also provides scholarships towards brilliant students that will help them learn more.
