Securing My Future at MITS Ernakulam

Overall Rating
MITS Ernakulam gave me a good experience. I choose this institute based on pass percentage in the institute. It has good academics and placements compared to other private institutes. The institute also supports extracurricular activities and skill development activities. The infrastructure makes the institute different from other institutes.
 

Academics Rating
I am a first year Electronics and Communication student here. ECE offers a wide range of opportunities in future. The subjects are also very interesting too study. Those are interested in ECE can join MITS Ernakulam. The institute offers management merit, NRI, and state merit. Based on your plus two marks or KEAM marks, institute gives the admission. Mine is a 4-year programme containing 8 semesters. Every semester has an end semester exam. End semester exams include theory exam and practical exam. The academics gave me the knowledge for facing real-life problems.
The fees are different for different allotted groups in MITS Ernakulam. I am student in the fee waiver category. I did not have tuition fees. I have only other fees. The institute also gives scholarship based on KEAM rank and plus two marks.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty in MITS Ernakulam is too good especially in ECE department. The teachers are well qualified. They completed their education from well-known institutes. Most of the teachers use PPTs, and group discussion for teaching. We have a tutorial session for problem solving. Students are comfortable with teacher’s behavior and their teaching style. They handle practical classes really well too.
 

Placement Rating
The institute offers good placements and has a placement cell. They guide us well to prepare for placement interviews. IBM, Tata, Infosys, Master System are some big companies that visit our institute for recruitments.
 

Hostel Rating
The institute offers seperate hostel for boys and girls. 2 and 4 sharing rooms are in our hostel. There are gyms, badminton courts etc. provided for the hostellers. Mess food includes non-veg and veg. The girl's hostel closes at 6.30 PM. Hostel fees based on the room sharing. Overall the experience in hostel too good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus size is moderate compared to other institutes. The campus is clean. Most of the classrooms can occupy 75 students. Well-maintained library with vast collection of books is available. There are two blocks named Ramanujan and M. George is there. Ac seminar halls and conference halls are available in institute. The institute also offers good support for sports. We have a basketball court, volleyball court, football ground etc. Institute offers bus for day-scholars. In canteen, food for students and teachers are available.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life in MITS Ernakulam good. There are many clubs here, like technical (IEEE, IEDC, Tinker hub) and non-technical (NSS, Media, Rotaract Club, Music Club). The different societies of IEEE are available in our institute. I am a member of IEEE and Tinker hub. The institute offers workshops, hackathons etc. There are ‘Varnam’ and ‘Shreshta’ fests in institute. Varnam is a one-day art fest and Shreshta is a two-day tech fest.

    I joined this institute in 2022. Firstly, the main thing I noticed is the number of placements from there. Many students got placed from there. Now it is ranking no 2 in all Kerala. From my experience, it is a better option choose MITS Ernakulam if u need to focus on your career. They make us the way we need; they will guide us through the path that we need to go.
