Overall Rating
My overall experience in this University is quite good. The University architecture, diversity and facilities have attracted me to choose this University. GITAM School of Science provides good exposure compared to other Universities. There are students coming from very diverse backgrounds of different states and countries. The diversity helps in interacting with multiple types of people and also increases the chances of exposure and opportunities. In this way this University is different from other.
 

Academics Rating
The course chosen by me was Biotechnology in B.Sc. I'm very interested in this subject that’s why I chose this course. An entrance test called GAT (GITAM Admission Test) will be conducted for admission. There is one mid and one semester end examination throughout the semester but it will have around 5 quiz exams. There are topics which will help students in future. The topics are helpful during industrial experience. The eligibility criteria require specific percentage in 10th Standard.
The fee of my course is Rs. 90,000/- annually but now the fees is increased. There will be sibling and merit scholarships and financial aid also available for under privileged. Some Registration fee is taken at the time of admission.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is highly qualified. Almost every faculty has completed their Ph.D. while very few have done their masters. Method of teaching includes PPTs and blackboards; the teacher student ratio is also decent. Most of the faculty is approachable. Teacher’s has problem solving abilities. Not all the faculty members are perfect but there are most of them who do their job well.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell and career guidance cell called GCGC also provides career assistance and gives information about upcoming seminars for people who want to go abroad or start a business. They try to bring people who are already working in industry to campus and guide students. Companies like Wipro, Hetero, ADP, Capgemini, Accenture, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Our University has residential facilities, there are separate hostel for girls and the boys. The food in the hostel is very hygienic and the quality is very good, it Contains a decent menu which will repeat every week. They provide 3 time meal system. We have to take permission from parents every time we want to go out
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are almost like 15-17 blocks divided for different streams. The infrastructure of the University is top notch. The campus is huge with lush greenery. The seating capacity of the classrooms differs from floor to floor and block to block. We have a good library which contains almost all kinds of books that you need. We have lending section and also a digital library. We have seminar halls for each block and like 2 closed and one open auditorium. We have a huge and some small canteens all over and easily accessible. Transport and medical facilities are also available.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life was like a rollercoaster with no friends at first to getting some best friends and good memories, it was fun. There are a lot of clubs that you can be a part of based on your interest. From intellectual to fun clubs they have it all. Engagement activities like seminars and workshops are conducted. Fests take place by clubs very frequently. The management also plans events like ethnic days, etc.
