Life at NMIMS Bangalore

Overall Rating
My overall experience at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Bangalore was good. It has good infra and faculty and a chance to go abroad for student exchange program. Along with all this, they have a good and very active student driven clubs and a committee which help us engage in them. The Institute is not all about studies and has co-curricular activities to engage students.
 

Academics Rating
I went for B.Com (Hons.) to have a wide perspective of marketing and finance and chose NMIMS because of its placements. To get into this Institute you need to appear for NPAT and must have 50% score in your school exams. The Institute publishes a cut off list and once you clear it you get a provisional offer letter, after this you have to submit your documents like Mark Sheets and Fees. Course curriculum here is similar to NMIMS Mumbai and you get to learn a lot.
Fee for my course at this Institute is Rs. 5,25,000/- with Rs. 1,65,000/- to be submitted in 1st year. An initial amount of Rs. 5,000/- is to be submitted while filling forms.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is very qualified and strict when it comes to project submission and exams. They are very helpful and make sure concepts are cleared. During exam they see for perfect answers and are very rigid to give full marks. You have to be extra-ordinary to get full marks from them. This made me work very hard to excel in my course and keep my concepts clear to pass the exams.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement committee in the Institute and placement director forms the committee with the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is very close to Bangalore near Bannerghatta National Park. Since its a newly build Institute, all the structures and blocks and classrooms are newly built with high-tech equipment. The classroom capacity is 60 students. Hostel is build outside the campus and they have bus service provided. After 1st year you are given a option to either take hostel or a flat (with your friends, which you have to search, Institute will not help you).
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is amazing at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Bangalore. The Institute is not just about studies but co-curricular activities as well. There are a lot of clubs and committee which students can be a part of and the best part is all these clubs and committees are student driven. There is an 80% mandatory attendance requirement which needs to be fulfilled. Apart from this Bangalore as a city is very beautiful and worth exploring, there are so many treks and places to visit within 100 KM radius and very accessible.

    If you are expecting a very good college life with a lot of extra co-curricular activities, then NMIMS Bangalore is not the place for as they won't give attendance for all those matters. Even you can't work on yourself all these years due to such a hectic schedule, as person I don't think you can grow much here. Things are way dull in campus plus you don't get holidays in Islamic holidays you have classes on Saturday, they won't even give you half day on Saturdays and you are only left with Sund...
