University of Engineering and Management BBA Review By Shobhit Gupta

My experience in University of Engineering and Management Jaipur was great because there are lots of extracurricular activities that happen on the regular basis in the campus. UEM, Jaipur is one of the best universities in Jaipur and it offers more than 20 courses in the streams like Engineering, management, and physiotherapy. There are more than 1000 students in the university who are currently studying. This university was established in 2011 so all the facilities are new and modern. My first year in the university was great because there was no tension of placements and academics but in second year and third year there was no fun at all because of the academic and placements tension that was going. There are many students who join this institute because of the word of mouth and I also join because of that. I think 100 percent placement is the main highlight of the university and that is why other should join the university.

Bachelors of Business Administration is very underrated course since people think that all the opportunity come after doing MBA but this is a wrong perception according to me because there are many good companies hire BBA students. There were 2 semester in each year of the course duration of three year and initial semester were easy to qualify but after third semester we can sense that semester exam start to become tough. I choose this course because I wanted to be a good business man in the future and that is why I gave the entrance test for the university which is called Institute of Engineering and Technology Joint Entrance Exam (IETJEE). 12th qualification is the eligibility for the course and also One can get into the institute directly by just donating 1 Lakh to the university funds.

To be honest teachers in UEM Jaipur were not good and I passed all my examination studying through the YouTube. In college there are 6-8 lectures in a day for 5 days a week and I can say that from 35 lectures in a week there were only 5 productive classes. There were 2 faculty members who tried their best in their subjects and I got more than 80 percent marks in their subjects and in other subjects I got only 70 percent marks. All the teachers are qualified and all of them are teaching from long time but still there were not good to teach us that is the irony. But I have to admit that the verbal ability and critical thinking teachers were amazing. There are no practical subjects in the course but we have to write the case studies of the business with the help of teachers and I got some good faculty members to help me in that work.

Placements percentage is more than hundred percent since many students got two offers from different companies and some of them also got more than two offers from good companies like my friend he got four offers from the good companies like Airtel, Cognizant, Innovaccer, Investwell. There are many good companies visit the university and few of them are Vedantu, Byju’s, Think and Learn, Shree Associate, Okaya Infocomm, Ksolves Pvt. Ltd. and Wipro are the companies that visit the campus each year for the hiring process. There is internship cell in the institute and both are very active towards the welfare of the students in their future. But I feel placements are based on luck also because I was rejected in six company interviews and then I got selected in the seventh interview which was worst in my seven interviews.

University in the outer area of the Jaipur city so I prefer university hostel because it was more convenient for me at that time but now good PG are built near the campus. But I would suggest to take college hostel because doing so you got the access to the all the college facilities like all the sports facilities and all the gym facilities and also all the utilities in the campus and there are also restaurant inside the campus. College hostel fee is also not high which is Rs. 70,000 per year with no hidden or extra charge. Yes there is also free Wi-Fi for the hostel students. Food in the mess is also good since Veg and Non Veg both type of food is serve in the mess. Hostel rooms are also good and equipped with all the equipment that is necessary for the students such that their study happen smooth without any problem.

Campus is not huge in terms of buildings and area but it is huge in the terms of facilities and placements they offer to the students. Since university is not build in the huge area but they utilizes every inch of the area to built better campus with all the facilities. There could be 10 buildings in the institute including 3 hostels. There are many canteens in the university and all of them feel like restaurant. Campus environment is very positive and pure and pollution free. Sports facilities are good in the campus. There is also auditorium in the institute in which generally all the joint learning session happens. Classrooms are also good and they have all the facilities in the classes. Nut the best part of all the facilities is the library which remains open 24 hours each day of the weak.

Although UEM Jaipur campus is not huge but it provide good environment for us and there are many places in the campus to have fun like behind the college temple we all hangout and talk for two to three hour and I really miss those day even now. Best part of our college life was the time after the semester exam because at that time there were no tension for the academic and we had gala moments at that time but now they are just great memories there are many good fest happen each year in the university and some of the fest are Cultural fest, Annual Fest, Sports fest, Technical fest, and Social fest are the some fest which are organized on the big scale. There are some small events also that happen like freshers event and Holi event and Diwali event. Each festival is celebrated in the university whether it is Eid or Diwali.
