Great Placements at DAITM Kolkata

Overall Rating
My overall experience of DAITM Kolkata was decent. The Institute is compact with just a building. There is indoor games room as well. Some of the faculty members were good at teaching. I chose the Institute because this was my friends’ first choice.
 

Academics Rating
From a very young age, I was fond of computer, mechanical, and electronic equipment, and so I chose Computer Applications. In this Institute the eligibility would be Mathematics or Computer Applications in 11th and 12th Standard and giving an entrance exam CET. The academics focus on self-learning.
It was a 3-year course when I enrolled but now it's a 4-year course, so around Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- per semester. Exam fee is around Rs. 1200/-.
 

Faculty Rating
Just like all Institutes, some of the faculty members are up to the mark. Most of the teachers are good in their work and well qualified. My bonding with few teachers was extraordinary and won't forget them ever.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are decent. You will get placement in a decent company. A lot of good companies come for placements. In my case I got placed in Accenture. Every student had options for placement.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is average and has just one building. Classrooms do not have AC. DAITM Kolkata has a library and allocated area for indoor games like badminton. A seminar hall where Institute related functions are held like teacher’s day or convocation. We also have a canteen that has good food and it also had a TV so we could watch cricket.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life was average. There were jamming sessions held with over 30 students where our seniors would sing and play instruments. We have our annual sports day but it happens in a separate ground, and the Institute rents the ground.

    Firstly the fees structure in this institute is decent as compared to other institutes. Before taking admission here, I personally asked many ex-students and all of them gave good reviews about the faculty and academics. The institute placements are quite good.     The facilities and the institute only focuses on academics and this is the reason that made me choose this institute. The placements and fee structure were also choosing factors. The total fee structure for 3 year is almost 3 LPA.... Read Full Review
