Beautiful Experience at SMIT Berhampur

Overall Rating
SMIT Berhampur is one of the oldest Institute in Berhampur and Odisha also. It is very popular all over Odisha. There are many students who have passed out from this Institute with a higher package. The environment here is also very good. The location, campus structure and faculties are also very good. Including academics the Institute also focuses on extracurricular activities for overall growth of a student. For all these reasons I recommend this Institute.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. I chose this course because there are many employment opportunities in this sector like solar industry and semiconductor industry. For a student who has completed 12th Class in Science, the eligible criteria is JEE entrance exam and for a Diploma student, the eligible criteria is OJEE entrance exam. Admission process is very simple, 12th passing certificate and entrance exam certificate is required with all elementary documents. There are 2 semester per year and totally 8 semesters in the whole course.
I chose the Electronic and Electrical Engineering, so my fee is Rs. 1,00,000/- per year and Rs. 50,000/- rupees semester wise. The registration fee is Rs. 5000/-. For OBC students, the scholarship is Rs. 20,000/- yearly and for ST/SC it almost Rs. 40,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
In my branch, there are many intelligent lecturers teaching. Their teaching style is very impressive and easy to learn for an average student. Our teachers send soft copies like pots, pdf in exam time. It is very helpful for students to maintain a good score in exam. My experience with faculties is very good and they are very friendly with students.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are very good in SMIT Berhampur. The average placement is 4 LPA to 5 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel rooms are average and mess food is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The Institute has huge infrastructure. There are many large buildings in the campus. Canteen is also good. For emergency cases there is facility for medical treatment and Institute focuses on the security system. There is good transport system with large number of buses in our Institute offering transport services to the students.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is unforgettable for me and also for my friends. The Institute location and environment is very beautiful. There are many National events and fests held in the Institute. Festivals like Holi, Raksha Bandhan, and Diwali are celebrated in our Institute. The annual fest is the biggest festival in our Institute. My experience is very beautiful in campus life.
