Bangabasi College Kolkata Offers Swami Vivekananda & Yikashree Scholarships

My College i.e. Bangabasi College is open to all and accepts students from every category and academic rank. It provides good and various courses where mostly, all the classes are conducted, as although being a government college the faculty here is responsible and does their job very sincerely. The seniors, the staffs, and the teachers are very welcoming and good. The Science Department of the College is absolutely amazing and promising. Many alumni with good score are found from this corner of the college. The factors that made me choose this college is this is the best College for Higher Studies.

The course I chose is 4 year B.Sc (Hons.) In Anthropology. I have always been very interested in findings historical stuff; about how did it go there, about the beginning of earth. This curiosity made me choose this course, to reach my goal of Becoming and Archeologists. The eligibility criteria for this course are min 60% in Class 12th. The admission was smooth.

The fee of the college is not too high and is affordable to even a lower middle class student. It has a good feeling structure and the time for taking that fee. The fee is taken semester wise. During admission, I had to pay around Rs. 8000/- and later an exam fee was taken that was given to the university and during my second semester, I paid around Rs. 2700/-. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship and Yikashree scholarship which are provided by the West Bengal government and is proceeded by the college they take a good care of this things.

Our HOD is very responsible, good, and experienced teacher who handles the crew of the faculty members very nicely. The teachers provides a source and materials whatever during our class time and teachers us like if we are a nursery student and this is this I will not bad side but is an effective side of the teachers because we do not take extra tuitions after college because of this. All the teachers are PhD holders and the teachers through whiteboards, PPT, presentations, and others. Being a rarest subject our department, a few number of students, that makes the teachers to easily interact with us. All the teachers are very helpful and kind to us. The communication between the teachers and students in our department is very good. They help me, appreciate me, help me and do all my staffs with full sincerely.

The placement cell in our College is also good but that is only present especially for the commerce students not for a science Students. in our 4 years course, we have a special training of that is known as internship of only 15 days or one month which provides the opportunity to work and see and gain experience of an office culture via this internship about our course for example in this Summer internship, I got experience of working in Anthropological Survey of India.

Our college has a good infrastructure & facilities for learning and development of the student. There are special classrooms do in less number but very helpful. The laboratories residing in the science department are well-maintained air-conditioned and have the entire instrument. Our classroom is very neat & clean and is well maintained by the staff. There is a huge central library which is if the centre of the college and is helpful to everyone as I am also part of this. There are common room for boys and girls separately and the campuses clean and is maintained. One better thing about the college is there or some laboratories were Wi-Fi is provided by the college. It provides us with big auditorium which is recently opened and many functions campaigns and seminars are organized in an auditorium the auditorium is modern and air-conditioned. The environment is student friendly and my college focuses on learning academics as well as extra curriculum activities that takes place in our college time to time. The union that our college has is very friendly and helps the juniors and other students whenever needed.

My campus life is very engaging. I get to take classes from my teachers those who are also alumni of my own department. Cultural events also takes place in my department and I am glad that I am able to participate in every of them. The college provides us with various cultural programs and events, which are very interesting. My friends and my companions are very friendly and this friendly atmosphere has been only created by the teachers and the staff. Overall, the campus life is fun and memorable.
