Review of Bangabasi College, Kolkata

Overall Rating
The college has excellent faculty members who have sufficient knowledge to teach. Library is also great as it helps a lot to get in-depth knowledge about various subjects. The cultural fest here is quite popular as it attracts many high profile individuals. Overall, it is a joyful journey for a student to spend their 3 year graduation here.
 

Academics Rating
In order to get admission here, one must have qualifying marks in their 12th standard in science stream. Then application must be submitted and an application fee of 500 has to be paid. Depending on the merit list, the student will get a chance to get admission here. The overall course is quite good as it helps in knowing the subject in depth.
 

Faculty Rating
In college, there are plenty of faculty members to teach the subjects based on the course curriculum. Faculty members are all highly educated and very friendly to communicate with. The faculty also organises special classes for the students who have active backlogs. They also provide huge help when it comes to the research paper that the student have to submit in their final year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is moderate in size. Library is quite huge as it consists of books of different genres. Laboratory is not in great shape but the equipment is well maintained. Classrooms are average in size. In campus, there are dedicated rooms for sports purpose. There are also computers dedicated for academic purposes.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is great. There are games conducted from time to time. Students can indulge themselves in sports like cricket, football, etc. Cultural fest is organized each year, mostly in the month of March. Students from all departments take part in it to make it a grand success. Famous celebrities come to the campus for these events.

    Bangabasi College is situated in Sealdah, Kolkata and is one of the oldest and government aided college of Fine Arts in West Bengal. I joined the college in 2022 in the Department of Sociology, where the finest and well qualified teachers are present to mentor and guide us throughout our journey.     You can join the Bangabasi College, Kolkata after 12th standard and you can join any course in science like physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology. You must be from a science background. You can find all official notices like admission dates and fees details on the official website. I don't think there are reservation benefits but you can check the official website.     Overall Rating
    The Science departments specifically Chemistry and Physics courses are very good in the college. The library is very good with lots of books. Hostel services are not available here. The faculties are very supportive and highly educated. The environment outside the college isn't that much good. It is a decent college for pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.... Read Full Review

    The Bangabasi College, Kolkata is an average college just like the other colleges present under University of Calcutta. I can say that our college is good compared to other colleges under University of Calcutta. The teaching staff is average.     Bangabasi College is affiliated with Calcutta University and has been NAAC accredited with B+. The admission process is entirely carried out through online mode. The Management is also pretty well and the students would receive sufficient cooperation from the faculty as well. I would say that my decision to pursue my career in this college is totally worth it!... Read Full Review
