FDDI Kanchipuram great institute to learn design in footwear and fashion

Overall Rating
Footwear Design and Development Institute is located in Kanchipuram which offers degree in Bachelor of design and master of design in footwear and fashion field. The campus is amazing although I've been here only for few months. As I was very interested in fashion and clothing I applied for this college and got selected through the counselling process. I believe this is one of the best institutes in India for those who want to pursue fashion designing or footwear designing
 

Academics Rating
The course is very interesting if the student is totally into this. You’ll get to see different machines and labs in this course. Footwear field has many options when compared to fashion field here but both are equally great. For admission in Footwear Design and Development Institute you only need to take a written test then if you pass you need to opt for counselling. The eligibility is 10+2.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties here are very experienced. They are more like friends than a teacher. You will become close to them just after few classes. You can get to know everything about the subject. Even few software are taught here for more knowledge about the subject which is very important. If there is best interaction you will definitely love the faculty.
 

Placement Rating
Yes there is placement cell at our institute. For footwear students it's easier to get placements here than fashion students.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is the best part here. It very near to the classes and we will be provided with the bed, table, chair and cupboards. There are 2 hostel wardens for girls’ hostel and 1 warden for boys. Girls are strictly not allowed to go out after 9:30pm
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is very big, green and pleasant. It provides so many classrooms and labs also a library and auditorium which is very cozy. all college events are held there. Campus looks just amazing and also surrounded by a lake where everyone is attracted to it. Cafeteria is also available here, we can get all snacks here.
 

Campus Rating
I have only been here for few months and I love it so much as a hosteller. There will be so many events covered in this campus where all the students take part of it and find it interesting and enjoyable. Everyone is very friendly to each other and help each other for anything. Campus life is very interesting in Footwear Design and Development Institute.

    I am a student in FDDI pursuing bachelor in design which is a four year course. FDDI stands for Footwear Design and Development Institute has its branches in many states and is run by Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Even though this college is not that popular as NIFT and other design institutes this college provides with good exposure in the design field.     To be honest I had high expectation about this college but it is not up to it. It is located in a forest area which is in outer of Chennai. It is really difficult for the students to go the city side which takes max 2 hours to reach a place. Extracurricular activities are really fun not to complain about it.... Read Full Review
