SLS Noida Campus is Situated 4 KMs Away from Connaught Place, New Delhi

Symbiosis Law School Noida, in my opinion, is one of the best Institutes for Law, and is usually preferred by students due to its location and brand name. The campus size isn’t as big, but still they ensure to facilitate students with all the required amenities. I would recommend other students to choose to this Institute due to various reasons like some exceptional faculty, campus life, holistic academic experience and other reasons.

I have chosen B.A.LL.B course since I have a background in Humanities which would make it easier for me to study the core subjects that students are required to study under this degree. Eligibility criteria are passing SLAT and then there is an interview with their faculties for maximum 10-12 minutes. And the cutoff for SLAT goes around 30-36 from the total of 60 marks online exam. This exam is held 2 times with one day gap in December after CLAT and AILET. So, generally there is a lot of competition. The syllabus is nit vast, it is easily coverable if you study for it with the right strategy.

Fees is quite high at this Institute, it is around Rs. 3,20,000/- for the tuition fees and the mess fees is around Rs. 1,04,000/- and the hostel fee depends whether I want triple sharing or twin sharing. The tenure of 5 years at this Institute will cost the students around Rs. 30,00,000/- to Rs. 32,00,000/- excluding other expenses. And the fee of the Institute escalates by 10% every year.

My opinion is mixed. The team consists of a blend of experienced and new teachers. Some are genuinely nice, while others are average. But most of them are very approachable. Teaching methods include all stuff like PPTs, mock quizzes, open book tests, and case discussions. Some are even Ph.D holders, and some are LL.M Graduates from renowned NLUs. It depends on the students, if they attend classes regularly and follow the code of conduct at the Institute, their experience at the Institute with the faculty is likely to be nice.

There is a placement cell which is average. In order to gain a good placement at this Institute, you have to work hard from the first year itself to get a good internship in good law firms and chambers. I think that the placement highly depends on your networking skills and you should know how to make the best out of the Institute’s location.

The hostel facilities are only for the girl students of the Institute. Moreover, hostel rooms to them are assigned for the 1st and 2nd year students generally. One must ensure to be an early applicant to avail the accommodation facility at the Institute’s hostel. There is no hostel for boys provided by the Institute, so they generally prefer to live in PGs and flats located in proximity to the Institute for cost effectiveness and flexibility. Hostel fee is around Rs. 3,50,000/- per year. I do not have a good idea about the mess food but as far as I know the food at the hostel mess is average. And the hostel has all of the necessary facilities. But it's your choice at the end to choose between a PG and hostel.

This College is located 4 KMs from Connaught Place, New Delhi. Campus size not as huge, it is built on a land area of around 10 acres. Despite the small size, the Institute offers access to various facilities like a go to canteen spot, giant auditorium and above all, the great moot court hall. The location of this Institute is also very good. It's located in sector 62 of Noida. No sports facilities are provided inside the Institute’s premises. But clubs, moot society, legal aid centre, etc. are active and give ample of opportunities to the students.

There are so many active clubs and societies, like pro bono club and moot court societies .The Institute regularly various activities and events on-campus and also hosts its annual fest popular by the name, ‘SymFiesta’. There are also many cultural nights, guest lectures, and club activities like flash mobs, debates, fashion shows, photography walks, etc. The first easy might come off as a little difficult in terms of finding good friends, but eventually you will find the right bunch of people that suit you the best. Don't be afraid to take risk and explore the opportunities available at the Institute one by one. You can join SLS Noida, for its vocational advantages and brand name.
