Academic Life at Nabin Chandra College Karimganj

Overall Rating
I have spent a great time in my College. My College is 8 KM away from my home, and it is my fortune to have Nabin Chandra College Karimganj located so close to my residence. I have heard many positive reviews about this College since a lot of my friends and relatives have passed out from there. The aspects that set this College apart for me, the quality of faculty members here and its favorable distance from my home. Moreover, all the friends I have made at this College have good reviews of this College.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Sc in Physics owing to my great interest in this particular subject from HSC. The admission process is quite smooth. The students once selected for admission through Darpan portal are eligible to take admission there. My eligibility criterion for my course is at least 70% in HSC. Also, there was a provision for spot admissions after I paid the admission fees.
I had to pay approximately Rs. 16,000/- per year for my course. This fee structure included all fees applicable throughout my academic year. It is a Government but there are no such Government facilities provided for students from Science stream.
 

Faculty Rating
We have been provided with 4 teachers for Physical Graduation. We were only 23 students in our batch. The teaching faculty have specialisation in different their respective subjects. They are great with their concepts and are worthy of appreciation. All of them are very friendly and helpful. The teachers utilise markers and white boards to teach us. The teacher student ratio is 1:4. Because of the expertise of teachers in delivering the concepts clearly made us attend classes regularly without feeling the need of taking extra tuition classes. Theirs helpful nature and quality teaching helped us grow intellectually.
 

Placement Rating
I am not aware of the placements at the College.
 

Hostel Rating
No, students are not provided with hostel facilities at our College.
 

Infrastructure Rating
My College is 3 storey building. To maintain the College infrastructure, it is painted every year. The infrastructure of our College is well-built and maintained. Importance to cleanliness and a hygienic environment is given. We have a ground suitable for cricket, football, and many other sport activities. Canteen facility is above par. Library facilities are excellent and worthy. No transport services are available, all students have to come to College by own. Medical facility is still unknown to me as I never made use of this facility.
 

Campus Rating
I would love to give a specific mention about my campus life at Nabin Chandra College Karimganj . One thing that I really like about my campus life here is the ragging-free environment. There are student union rooms where we can file our issues in case of difficulties. Seniors are always helpful. Also, various engaging sport activities are conducted during annual sports fest. The College also organizes different socio-cultural fests and celebration of special days like Gandhi Jayanti, Independence day, etc.
