Great Experience at SCTCE Thiruvananthapuram

Overall Rating
I am very happy with my experience at SCTCE Thiruvananthapuram. Faculties are really helpful. I chose this College since is well-known for the department I chose. One thing I really like about the College is the kind of liberty they provide to the students studying here. The students are free to go outside the College during their break hours. We have bare minimum of restrictions here.
 

Academics Rating
I chose to pursue B.Tech from this College since it is well-known for the same. I would really love to become a Mechanical Engineer. I love the topics discussed in class. Entry requirements are only through KEAM entrance exams and there are seats for Non-Residential Indians too. I choose this College through a centralized online counseling process managed by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE). There are 2 internal exams before the semester exams. We are given with ample practical exposure which really helps us tackle real life challenges.
The fee that I paid was somewhat around Rs. 60,000/- since I was a merit quota student. The fee is higher for those who are not. It is close to Rs. 90,000/- per annum for them. Category students get concessions on their academic fee. Student loan could also be utilised for admission procedures if needed.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are really supportive. They clear our doubts thoroughly. Most of the teachers are Ph.D holders and are well-aware of the latest technological changes of their subjects. My experience has been really good with teachers so far. The problem solving abilities of the faculty members here are remarkable. I admire the teaching style of the Maths teachers, they is amazing in every regard. They solve problems within seconds and explain it very clearly. So, I am really satisfied with the teaching experience that I have been delivered here with.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is assured if we are dedicated to our studies. Average placement package ranges from 4 LPA to 6 LPA. The highest placement package was 19 LPA. I have had no placement experience so far since I’m still studying. Well reputed companies are selecting students from our College.
 

Hostel Rating
Currently there are no residential facilities provided by the College. But, there are plenty of hostels managed by Private organisations or individuals located in proximity to the campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It is situated in Pappanamkode at Thiruvananthapuram city. Canteen is good and the food is not bad as well. There is a mini cafeteria inside the campus where you can get snacks & beverages. The College is situated at a prime location which makes it easily accessible by cars, bikes and even buses. The College has a library with ample books, and there are facilities for various sports like Basketball, Badminton, Volley ball, Cricket, Hand ball, and more. My favorite part of the College campus is its Basketball court.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life at SCTCE Thiruvananthapuram is really good. The College has a great student crowd and there are many extracurricular activities taking place here regularly (like cultural and sports programs). There are plenty of clubs and students can join them based on their interests. The campus life is remarkable in every aspect. I recommend this College to everyone who expects great academic life along with a lot of fun and engaging activities.
