Overall Rating
The best thing about Uttaranchal University Dehradun is its location. It is located near Prem Nagar, which is the main market area of Dehradun. I am from Maharashtra but still chose to study here as living in a mountainous city and enjoying the campus life was kind of my dream. So far, 3 months and mid semester have been completed and so far, it has been so good. I have attended one workshop so far & have learned that many such events keep taking place at our University every now and then.

Academics Rating
In first semester, we have 6 subjects and 3 of them are from Humanities. Core Law subjects will start from next semester and I am eagerly waiting for that. Assignments are too hectic though as every week. In between lecturers, professors keep taking surprise tests and each of them is added in our internal marks. 75% attendance is compulsory but in 1st semester, some relaxation is provided.
I got 91% marks in 12th Grade, which is why I got 25% discount on fees, which is Rs. 1,45,000/- per semester. Even students who got meritorious marks in semester final exams get the some scholarship at University. Therefore, merit based scholarships are offered by the University.

Faculty Rating
There are around 6 subjects, which are taught by 6 different faculties. Very strict and keeps throwing at us assignments like we are workhorses. They all belong to the Legal background. So far, I really liked their teaching style. Their problem solving skills. Other than that, they solve all our problems and doubts.

Hostel Rating
There are several boys’ and girl’s hostels at the University’s campus. To live at the hostels, one has to apply for the same. Even though I was a merit student but could not get a room in hostel as I applied late.

Infrastructure Rating
Our University campus is unique in its own way. There are numerous blocks with a lawn close to the main gate with a signboard. The campus has some cafes and requisite amenities for almost all the sports. There is an auditorium, a Law department seminal hall, and moot court is present in our block.

Campus Rating
Every first week, I joined MUN Society and have participated in 3 MUNs. 2 of them were organised at the campus & other outside the campus. Clubs are also formed at the Uttaranchal University, Dehradun. So far, my campus life has been amazing.
