ICET Muvattupuzha: A Good College where you can Study & Enjoy

Overall Rating
I am a final year student at ICET Muvattupuzha. My experience at this institute is relatively good. For my course this is not the best but good College. I chose it because of the infrastructure and faculties. There is no nuisance because the campus is situated in away from the city. I would recommend others to also take admission in this College.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering because I have a deep interest in learning about coding and more about IT. For admission, the students need to score at least 60% in your HSC and qualify the KEAM exam. You can also get admission through NRI and Management quota. They conduct test on regular basis that determine the internal marks. The academics are based on textbooks only.
The tuition fee of my course is Rs. 75,000/-. There is an additional fee of Rs. 10,000/- that has to be paid at the time of the admission as caution fee. There are some scholarships given to students by the Government and the College may reduce the fee, if the student is performs well in there academics.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties at ICET Muvattupuzha are very friendly and encouraging. Most of the faculties have done Ph.D or M.Tech. The teaching methods include PPTs, group discussion, etc. The problem solving ability of the faculty members are great. The teacher to student ratio is 1:30. My experience with the teachers is good. Overall, the faculty is very friendly and approachable.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in our College. It helps in making the students industry ready and also provides placement training to the students. They conduct aptitude, technical trainings, and also mock interviews. Some of the companies that visit our campus are EY, UTC GLOBAL, Infosys, etc. The average package offered by the companies is 3 LPA to 4 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the College provides separate hostel facilities to both male and female students. The mess provides 3 time meal system and the quality of the food is average. The hotel fee for a month is around Rs. 4,500/-. The boys should enter the hostel before 8:30 PM and for girls the timing is 6:30 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of this College is very good and huge. There are different blocks for different courses. The classroom can accommodate around 60 students and is well equipped with projectors and smart boards. The campus provides various other facilities including well-equipped labs, high-tech smart boards, a central computing center, and a high-speed internet facility. The college also provides amenities like a canteen, ATM, health care, and transportation. Personally my favorite thing is the ambiance of this College.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life till now is good and I have made many new friends. The College has around 2000 students from the entire department but the campus doesn’t feel crowded. There are several clubs that are run by the students and faculties like NSS, YRC, IEEE, CSI, IEDC, etc. The College also organise extracurricular activities for the students. I was a part of both YRC and IEDC. It conducts both sports fest and arts fest every year. They also conduct a tech fest every four years. The College life is very good and you can study and have fun at the same time.
