College of Engineering Adoor B.Tech fee is around Rs. 50,000/- per year

My overall experience at the College of Engineering Adoor Pathanamthitta has been enriching and memorable. The campus has a friendly atmosphere with supportive faculty, good labs and active student community. I choose this College because it is Government Autonomous College under IHRD and affiliated with KTU, the main Engineering University in the state of Kerala. The main factors that influenced me were affordable fees, quality education, and good reputation in academics and placements.

My aim was pursuing B.Tech here and motive for enrolling in it was to get strong foundation in Engineering through KTU's curriculum. The admission is through KEAM which ensures a fair and transparent selection. The eligibility requirement was passing with good marks in Maths, Chemistry & Physics in Higher Secondary Education. Exams are conducted every semester. There are internal examination series with continuous internal assessments. The academics are arranged in such a way that students gain both theoretical and practical exposure.

The annual fee in our College is around Rs. 40,000/- per year. If you're a student belonging to SC / ST / OBC category, your fees will be paid by the Government.

The faculty members are very supportive; most of them hold post graduate & doctoral degrees in their respective fields. Their teaching methods include traditional black board teaching along with power point presentations, group discussions, and lab demonstrations. They are approachable and willing to clear doubts even outside of class. The teacher-student ratio is balanced which helps in getting individual attention. The faculty members are also motivated us to participate in seminars, workshops, and paper presentations. Personally I feel a good bonding with teachers as they're friendly.

The College has an active placement cell that supports students in preparing for on-campus recruitments, but only few of the students are getting placements. This may be due to less focus on practical knowledge or maybe because of lack of efforts on the part of students. It also organises training programmes for soft-skills, communication, aptitude, technical subjects, etc. which are helpful for campus interviews.

Our College is built on an average area of land. It has two blocks. The Main Block & Mechanical Department Block. The classrooms are neat with adequate seating capacity and proper ventilation system and many of them are equipped with projectors for effective learning. The College has also well-equipped laboratories for each department and a central library with a wide collection of books and journals. A seminar hall, an auditorium and a conference hall is also present for academic and cultural events.

College of Engineering Adoor Pathanamthitta hosts art fests, cultural fests, and sports meet every year. The campus life in our College is average. The student crowd is diverse and comes from places like Kasaragod, Thiruvananthapuram, and more. There are several clubs and units such as NSS, IEEE & technical associations for each department which give us the opportunities to develop leadership and team-work skills.
