Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has Around 50 Acre Campus in Bangalore

I have spent around 3 years in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bangaloreand. My overall experience has been positive. Campus life is also pretty engaging and faculties put a lot of effort into teaching. Placements are also stronger than most private Universities, which was the key reason I chose this Universities. The discipline, strict anti-ragging policies and a safe environment give a piece of mind and have its own reputation all across the world.

I chose Computer Science (AI) as my course because it is rapidly growing and offers better future. Eligibility criteria for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bangalore is to have at least 60% in 10th and 12th with 60% aggregate in PCM where admission is through its entrance exam or JEE Main score. The course includes 2 quizzes, 2 lab exams, mid semester and end semester projects. These projects, along with research and publications strengthen our resumes and also prepare us for industry.

As an NRI student, I paid 6000 Dollars (non-scholarship) for total fees along with that, around Rs. 1200/- for registration fees and Rs. 10,000/- as caution deposit.

The faculty members in my course are really knowledgeable, with most of them holding PhDs in their respective domains. They usually teach using a mix of blackboard and PPT, so it is easy to follow practical examples. Most of the times they solve numericals on the board and are always open to answering doubts. Even though my class has around 80 students, teachers make sure everyone gets attention. They often walk around while solving problems, so we can ask them individually without hesitation. Overall, they are approachable and supportive.

Our University has a placement cell. From the 3rd semester onwards, they start preparing us with soft skills, verbal ability, and aptitude training. We also get exposure through activities like group discussions, JAM, role-plays, and collaboration to build confidence and team work. Renowned companies such as Workday, SAP, BM, Oracle, Infosys, Cognizant, Amazon, and Goldman Sachs, and more visited this time. The highest currently is above 24 LPA CTC and average would be 8 LPA to 10 LPA CTC. I am still undergoing the process of placement but feeling confident about my own prospects.

Our Campus is about 50 acres with 5 blocks, the main one being the E block. It is located in a lively area with restaurants and shops nearby. Facilities include library, labs, seminar hall, auditorium, conference hall, reading hall, two canteens, sports, medical, transport, bank and proper security. Classrooms are spacious, and few of them are smart. My favorite spot is the stone sitting area surrounded by greenery, which is super peaceful.

My overall campus life has been fine. The crowd here is mostly Telugu students, along with people from other states too, so it’s a nice mix. There are 48+ clubs, with technical and non technical, and I am a part of the toastmasters club which also conducts regular activities. The campus celebrates many festivals like Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Holi along with our big annual Multi fest -Dastaan, which is definitely something no one should miss out usually held for 3 days. We also have Technical fest and annual 3 day fest.
