Overall Rating
Pookoya Thangal Memorial Government College, Perinthalmanna is one of the finest Government colleges in Malappuram district, Kerala. College provides the facility of library, ground, gym, canteen, hostel, etc. There are 6 undergraduate courses and 5 postgraduate courses. The faculty is highly qualified and cooperating.
 

Academics Rating
Admission process is according to the criteria provided by Calicut University which mainly focuses on the studeny's plus two marks. The exams are conducted every six months. Each year there are two semester exams. The curriculum prepares students for real-life challenges. The course I choose was due to the result of the students passed from this college of specific course.
PTM Government College, Perinthalmanna is a government college, and its fee is very less compared to other private colleges.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers are highly qualified and friendly. Almost every teacher is NET or JRF qualified or Doctorate achieved. They use blackboard, PPTs, group discussions, etc for better communication. Teacher-student ratio at the college is an average of 1:40. The problem solving abilities of the faculty is excellent. They give assignments, projects, seminars for better knowledge about the topics.
 

Placement Rating
There is placement cell in the campus for placements, and many companies offer internship, trainee and job opportunities to students.
 

Hostel Rating
College provides hostel facilities for girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The academic blocks & structure are according to the modern infrastructure. Our college got A grade in the latest NAAC visit. Almost all the class rooms have seating capacity of 60 students. Seminar halls have the capacity of more than 100 students. Canteen is very neat. There is gym and a sports room for physical education department. Other sports facilities provided for the games are cricket, football, basketball, swimming etc. Security is available between 5PM to early morning. The new infrastructure for academic block is under construction.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is very good. College has over thousand students from both under graduate and post graduate courses. There are many clubs in the campus like National Service Scheme, Bhoomitra, Vimukthi, Tourism, etc with different goals and aspects. Extra-curricular activities provided by the college are mainly in sports. There are onam, holi and Christmas celebrations in college. Other celebrating days are college day, ethnic day, victory day, freshers day, etc.
