I got SMMH Medical College Saharanpur through NEET exam. My rank was 9224. I could get a better college at such a great rank but I chose this college because it was near from my home. And I think that was the biggest mistake of my life. This college is average or I should say below average. My overall experience is just not satisfactory. You will work hard here but will not get desired results. There is no competition here to improve yourself. There are not good sports facilities. OPD is good. There are some departments which are really nice like, medicine department, Gynaecology department, Psychiatry department and a few more. The infrastructure is good but maintenance is very poor. The government should visit regularly for proper maintenance of this college.

The course in SMMH Medical College are MBBS, MD in Community medicine, Anatomy, Pharmacology, Pathology, and B.Sc. Nursing which was introduced in year 2022. Entry requirement for MBBS is NEET exam. Minimum average rank for a general category student is nearly 10-12k AIR. For admission in post graduation, entry is through NEET-PG. exam. The eligibility for MBBS students is that they should be 12th pass. My motive for enrollment in MBBS was to serve the humanity and that's why I chose this course.

The faculty members in the first year were not up to the mark. They were not good. From the 2nd year, the faculty were nice. There were minimum 4-5 professors of each subject. The professors are well qualified. They are post graduated in their respective subjects. They teach us efficiently. Also, practical labs are good.

Anyone can get a job after MBBS according to their potentials.

Hostel Life is good. You can make good friends. Mess food is very poor. Hostels are good, provided with 2 lights, 1 fan in each room. For first year students, separate bathrooms are provided.

Infrastructure in the starting was really nice because it is a new college. The labs and classes are provided with central ACs and split ACs. But due to poor maintenance, they don't work.

Overall campus life is below average. College is situated in jungle. There are no good food options nearby. Even for basic needs, you need to go 10 kms away in the city. There are no clubs, no fests, no other activities organised by college. Sometimes, once in a while, like in a year or 2, fests can take place but not more than that.
