Pub Kamrup College Kamrup is a Public Education Institution

My personal experience is good till now. I spent 1.5 years in this College. Many of my friends have also completed their education from this College only. My brother has also studies in this College. My friends and my brother suggested me to take admission in this College. The teachers are highly qualified and they teach the students very well. The academics here are good as compared to other Colleges. This College is strict which makes the students well disciplined. It is affiilated to Gauhati University.

I chose B.Sc. The Chemistry department is really good here. For admission, the students have to qualify CUET exam or they can take direct admission as well. The eligibility criteria are that the students must have passed their class 12th boards with 60%. Each year consists of 2 semesters. 2 exams are conducted in a semester such as sessional exam and final exams. All these exams prepare the students for real life challenges. Overall, the academics are good.

I took admission in Pub Kamrup College in the year 2024. The students have to pay the admission fee as well. Scholarships are also available for the students who are financially weak. There is a scholarship named Ishan Uday scholarship.

My experience with the faculty members is good till now. The teaching methods include smart boards, white boards, etc. They also teach us with the help of notes and PPTs. The teachers are highly qualified and most of the teachers have done Masters or Ph.D in their respective field. They also conduct group discussion before the exams. They also conduct surprise tests and online tests. The teacher to student ratio is decent.

Yes, there is a placement cell. The placements are not up to the mark. Most of the students go for their further studies. Only 2% of students get on campus placement.

Yes, the College provides residential facilities to both male and female students. The girls’ hostel is larger than the boys’ hostel. The hostel has good accommodation capacity. The mess is also there which serves decent food to the students. The hostel is equipped with CCTV cameras for security purposes. The warden is also there to take care of the students. I don’t live in hostel and all this information is given by my friends.

The campus of Pub Kamrup College is spread over 6.07 acres of land. There are mainly 2 blocks one is for the Science department and the other one is for the Arts department. The classrooms are good and are equipped with smart boards, projectors, etc. There are labs in every department. There are 2 labs in my department. The canteen is also available which serves healthy food to the students and the teachers. The College has constructed a new playground for the students so that they can play games. Indoor stadium and gym facility is also available. The campus has medical facilities and it is equipped with CCTV cameras. A separate parking area is available as well.

My campus life till now is very good. Most of the crowd belongs from different states. There are limited clubs which organise different activities for the students. The College also celebrates various festivals and also organise competitions. Overall, my campus life is going great.
