KCG Chennai Focus on the Holistic Development of the Students

Overall Rating
This is the College where I started my dream of becoming an Astronaut. The campus has adequate facilities as well. The teachers are also helpful and always motivate the students to achieve best in their life. The environment here is great. My personal experience at this College was full of leaning and growth.
 

Academics Rating
I have done Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from KCG Chennai. I chose this course because I have an interest in it. I wanted to Astronaut in the future. I got admission in this College through management quota. The admission process was smooth. The College conducts internal and unit tests every month. The academics really prepared me for real life challenges by conducting hackathons, projects, exhibitions, etc.
The fee of my course was around Rs. 88,000/- per year. At my time, the hostel fee was around Rs. 90,000/- per year.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members at this College are great. They taught us about the Aerospace propulsion, aerodynamics, structures, strength of materials, mechanics of machinery, and thermodynamics. They teach us with the help of both traditional and modern methods such as blackboard and PPTs. They also conduct group discussion for the students. The problem solving abilities of the teachers was good. They develop the interest of the students in the subjects. The teacher to student ratio at my time was quite good. Overall, the teachers are approachable and solve all the doubts of the students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell. It is quite helpful. Several renowned companies visit the campus for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the College provides hostel facilities to the students. There are separate hostel for male and female students which are present on-campus. The hostels are quite peaceful. In the girls hostel 150 rooms are available. The mess is also there which serves both vegetarian and non vegetarian food to the students. The hostel rules are quite strict. Overall, the hostels are well maintained and hygienic.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of this College is good. The campus has library which consists of several academical books and the books need to return once the semester is over. The library has computer system as well. My favorite place at the campus was the library where I could study peacefully. The campus has seminar hall with the seating capacity of around 300 students. Sports grounds are also present for the games like Cricket, Football, etc. Overall, the infrastructure is good.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life was quite good. We used to hangout at the nearby places. At my time, the campus crowd was not that huge at KCG Chennai. There are several clubs which are dedicated to different domains. Various extracurricular activities, Sports day, and fests are conducted in this College. It also invited guests from all around places to give speeches and also to motivate the students.
