Living in Hostel is Mandatory in Banasthali Vidyapith Jaipur

Banasthali Vidyapith, Jaipur is a women led University. It is situated in Tonk, Rajasthan. It is about 70 kms away from Jaipur. I chose this University for my studies because of its legacy, great education, safe environment and its best academic records & history. My overall experience here was outstanding. It is very different from all the other Universities because of its unique values and culture. Festivals of all the religions are celebrated here. In the campus, we were required to wear only Khadi kurta and suits and no other clothes were permitted.

I had done B.Com LL.B. from here. It is a five year course. When I took admission, the eligibility criteria was 12th percentage. If a person achieved more than 80% in 12th, then they are eligible for admission in this particular course. Admission process is very simple here; you just have to submit all the relevant documents such as your previous mark sheets, Aadhar card, or any other ID proofs, photographs etc. When you will enquire about any course, the admission team will contact you and update you regarding all the necessary documents that need to be submitted. In my course, there were 2 types of exams patterns i.e. Periodicals and semesters. Periodicals used to be held after every 2 months and semesters after 6 months. Academics fully prepared me for real life challenges as we were given practical knowledge as well.

The overall fees of my course was Rs. 10,00,000/-. This included tuition, hostel and mess fees.

Faculty members of Law were very well educated and experienced. Majority of them had completed their Ph.D. and had great knowledge about their subjects. They used to teach through blackboards, PPTs and group discussions. Teachers were very understanding and used to clear all the doubts and problems of the students. My batch had around 60 students so faculty were able to manage us easily and focus on each student personally. The entire faculty holds great experience and command over their subjects.

There is a Placement Cell at Banasthali Vidyapith, Jaipur, and one Placement officer was also appointed for legal students. Placement was quite average because in my batch only few students got placed. When I was in my 4th year, 2-3 companies visited campus so they conducted a written exam and interview and on the basis of performance, students were hired.

My University offers a compulsory residential facility to the students. No student is permitted to live in Flats or as Paying Guest. Everyone is required to avail the hostel facility including the faculty members. There were about 60 hostels. Each hostel had about 150 rooms and every room can be shared by 2-3 girls. Every hostel had their mess. Mess food is very hygienic, healthy and is provided on time. Every day 4 meals were given i.e. Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner. Hostel has strict timings of 8 pm and after that no one is permitted to go out. My personal experience was very good as we used to have fun and play games in hostel. Wardens were also very understanding and supportive.

Campus size is very huge. Academic blocks are situated in one side of the campus and hostels on the other side. There are cafes, photo copy shops, stationary, grocery shops, fruit stalls etc. situated in the middle of the campus. There are many canteens such as Shanus, Annapurna, Spicy bite, Mukteshwari etc. they serve delicious and hygienic food. They serve fast food, South Indians, Chinese, etc. Classrooms have a great sitting capacity of about 200 students. Campus also has hospitals, libraries, labs, conference halls, auditoriums, etc.

The campus crowd is great. Students from all over India study here. As it is an all-Women’s University, the crowd is very safe. There are many clubs such as Music club, Dance club, Painting club etc. Campus also has Gym, Swimming pool, Horse Riding, Badminton court, Basketball court, Football Court, Cricket ground, etc. Our University used to organize various extracurricular activities such as Street plays, debate competition, Marathon, Fest, etc. All the festivals such as Christmas, Holi, etc. are celebrated here.
