Overall Rating
My overall experience in Bidhan Chandra College, Asansol was very good. The faculty and the staff of this College are always supporting students to excel and achieve greater heights in academics. I chose this College as it is very well connected and the faculties of Maths Department were well qualified experts in their fields. Others students should also choose this College as students get everything what a student would dream of their College life to be such as knowledge, thrill, drama, sports, education, life lessons opportunities, and many more.
 

Academics Rating
The academics of this College is very good. I had chosen B.Sc in Mathematics and in my Department each and every professor had a Doctorate degree from reputed Institutes like IIT Kanpur, Kharagpur, Jadavpur. Few Professors had also done their Post Doctorate. So, with this kind of qualification you can make out the quality of knowledge they can pass on.
The fee of the courses is very minimal. As this it is a Government College. There are two kinds of fee, one is the course or tuition fee and second one is the exam fee, which is charged by University but submitted at the College office. And if someone is unable to pay the fees then they have to request in writing to the Principal and if your case is genuine, concession is given.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of this College are well qualified and well reputed. They have a very good behaviour and are always supporting students to achieve greater accomplishments in life and academics. Talking about my department we had a total of 8 faculties, each expert and all of them have done their Ph.D. from Reputed Universities of this Country and have a minimum experience of 10 years of teaching. Teaching is done through black board and projector through PPTs. We had 1:5 teacher student ratio.
 

Placement Rating
No Placement Cell is present at this College but some Professors guide you in the duration of courses for Internships and Placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostel is available but it is only for girls as I am a boy so I was not allowed to go there, so I don't know about the actual condition from inside but security and hygiene from what I have heard is good and the locality of the College is also good; all educated people with good civic senses reside nearby College.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The whole campus of the College is massive. No College has this huge campus and infrastructure nearby in the city. The College consists of two campuses. The classrooms are massive with a seating capacity of 100 students and some classrooms have projectors too. There are two kinds of library, one is the central library and one is the department library where you can get books of your course, daily magazine, newspapers etc. There is one seminar hall, conference hall, computer lab which consists of 200 computers. The canteen of this College is average. Connectivity of this College is good.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life of Bidhan Chandra College, Asansol is very interesting as you get to meet people from diverse backgrounds. There is only one club in the College that is the Environment Club. Apart from it, there is NCC and NSS in the College. And also there is a students union in the College which takes the responsibility for organising Annual fests in the College. Sports meets are held every year. And also Inter College, Inter Department, and Inter University Cricket Tournament are held every year. I had a very fascinating experience at the College and also won the Inter College Cricket Tournament.
