SDES Ranga Reddy is an Exceptional Engineering Institute

Overall Rating
Even though Andhra and Telangana combined are the hub of Engineering Institutes, SDES Ranga Reddy still stands tall among many of those. Overall there are so many positives to look for like curriculum is good but extracurricular activities too are phenomenal. Every year special parties are hosted at our Institute and many celebrities are invited. Environment in and around the Institute is astonishing and last but not the least faculties are very good and they teach well too.
 

Academics Rating
Admission criteria is as simple as 12th pass with science stream and PCM mandatory subjects. One of the advantages of studying from the University is that all the Engineering and Technical courses are recognised by AICTE. All the basic principles of this branch are taught here and academics here also are aided by research papers and projects. So besides almost nearly 200 lectures a semester, we have to finish our research papers and projects as well mandatorily.
Institute fees is Rs. 1,00,000/- per year and the fees are paid semester wise.
 

Faculty Rating
Our faculty members are strong personalities and high in experience. One of the faculties served as a leading professor in IIT Kanpur and is now teaching in our Institute. Other faculties are still or have been involved in many researches. CSE has a very rigorous syllabus but our expert faculties with their notes and the way they use to teach and made the rigorous curriculum look very simple.
 

Placement Rating
Oracle, Cognizant and many of those companies who have now made Andhra their hub for sourcing work in India have tie-ups with our Institute. So, apart from Indian tech companies our Institute provides us opportunity to find placements in overseas tech giants too.
 

Hostel Rating
There's one boy's and one girl's hostel in our campus and I stay at the girls’ hostel of the campus. A room is shared by two students; rooms shared by three are also there. The caterer in our mess is same as boys hostel’s therefore, the food served is same and is prepared at the boys hostel mess as it is twice the size compared to ours. Hostel closing timings are 7 PM for girls and 8 PM for boys as we can't stay off campus after without prior permissions.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus is small and has four blocks and two hostels. Girls change room and separate recreation room is there. There's one auditorium and every day we have group presentation of any branch there or an event or a guest lecture. Our library is also big and garden area is right next to small canteen of our Institute which even though has a limited seating capacity but is always high on students wanting to grab a bite from there.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at Sree Dattha Institute of Engineering and Science is very hectic as our day starts with classes and then the practical labs followed by hostel committee meetings. Thus, by 8 PM to 8:30 PM I am mostly exhausted and even though campus in time is 7 PM for us but still have the option of using facilities of the campus but I only avail one and that's my hostel room facility. We have an annual sports meet and annual cultural event 'Infinity' and that's the only time we get some relaxation from studies.
