JEE Main Scores are Necessary for Admission in MANIT Bhopal B.Tech Course

An established University with a 70+ years of legacy, an NIT and one of the first regional Institutes in independent India. The usual core subjects are decided by your department; from third year you get options to select electives in the department. And in final years you get to choose electives from all departments. For admission, students need to score well in JEE Main exam. There are also minor courses which you can opt if you have a high CGPA in first year; it depends on your rank in first year and the seats available. Usually CSE and ECE minors are taken by students.

It’s different for different castes or categories. For SC/ST, there is no tuition fee for EWS and OBC students it is around Rs. 45,000/- per semester and for general it is around Rs. 80,000 per semester in B.Tech. Food and hostel charges are the same to every category and caste students and is taken upfront.

Faculties are mostly IIT Ph.D holders. They have industry experience and came back to academia to improve its condition and align to industry standards. Actively involved in state and industry projects. Student to teacher ratio is a little off, but faculty is expanding and more lecturers are hired every year so it is bound to improve. They teach using different methods; also it depends on the teacher. Some entirely relies on PPTs and notes that they makes, others use projects and various softwares, some prefer books while others solve entirely on white board and marker.

Hostels of the Institution are big and in sufficient number, also in good condition for your stay.

The infrastructure is decent and improving. Recently they have completed the construction of new building with many lecture rooms and auditoriums to conduct seminars and placement drives. All departments have their own classes and labs. Sports complex is updated and properly maintained for staff and students to play. New hospital is being built apart from the existing dispensary.

Campus life is bit hectic as you have activities going on every week. Academic, cultural or student driven clubs, there is everything. Various clubs actively organises events, competitions and workshops in their respective domains and you can join them in second semester. They are full of learning opportunities. Fests are grand but this year they are conducting only one combined fest. Though, earlier there were two, cultural and technical fest.
