A Detailed Overview of JGMMMC Hubli

Overall Rating
In the title, I want to give a clear and honest review about this College. It is a newly established university. About 150 to 200 students are there in each batch. There are totally 5 batches and one is about to pass out and be interns now. A Medical College and hospital is in the same campus. Hostels are now in a different location but soon it is going to be in the same campus.
 

Academics Rating
Coming to academics, I would say it is one of the best in the State. There are 3 internals and a main University exam. In addition, papers are of standard quality and these internals are conducted with an interval of 2 to 3 months. There are practicals too, which make us very much prepared for the real life challenges. Also, it course are recogised by NMC.
For our batch, the tuition fees are Rs. 16,40,000/- per year for Management seat and Rs. 6,40,000/- for KEA seat at the JGMMMC Hubli.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty here has their MBBS and PG degrees in their respective subjects. They have completed their degree in the best Colleges and Universities. On an average, They have minimum 5 to 7 years experience in teaching. Method of teaching is PPTs, slideshows, and flashcards. They try to keep students engaged throughout the class. Student to teacher ratio is good enough and meets the criteria as prescribed by NMC. In addition, coming to the doubt clarification, these teachers are approachable and 24/7 available.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the College has its own hostel facility. Currently hostels are in different place but soon it is going to be in the same campus. It is 2 sharing rooms. Boys’ and girls’ hostels are separate. Rs. 1, 24,000/- per year is the hostel fees. Hostel rules are strict and the gate closes at 9:30 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are totally 2 blocks with lecture halls and administrative cabin in one & auditorium and demo rooms in another. Classrooms have the capacity to hold 300 students. Library, labs, and seminar halls are separate for each department. There is a central library, which is well maintained. There is a canteen, which provides hygienic and delicious food. There are trees lawns places to sit by and relax in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life at the JGMMMC Hubli is above average. Currently, College is under construction in some place. There are many clubs & committees and I am a member of sports committee. There are many extracurricular events and activities going on. Fests happen once in a year. There is a General championship, which happens once a year where all the batches are excited to win the cup. I personally enjoy sports events more. On the whole, a better place to be in.

    My experience in KLE Jagadguru Gangadhar Mahaswamigalu Moorusavirmath Medical College and Hospital has been good. My peers are amazing and we have only one senior batch above us, we are the 2nd batch of this college. This college is under a very prestigious university which is KLE and the sister college of JNMC Belgaum. The teaching faculty is one of the best.
