GPREC Kurnool has an Amazing Campus

Overall Rating
My experience in G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College, Kurnool was good, keeping in mind that this is not a University. The faculty was experienced and always helpful. I opted for this College after my Intermediate because it was the most promising in my AP EAPCET rank bracket. Overall experience was good. Factors that made me choose this College is that they have a good placement history. This College has many clubs for the students to participate; technical as well as non-technical clubs.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Computer Science and Engineering course. Entry requirement is a good rank in AP EAPCET exam. In 2020, the cut-off for my course was 16,000. On the other hand, one can join through Management quota. Admission process is very simple. Student has to visit the College and pay the admission fee in order to get admission. Exams were divided into mid and end semester. In a year, student writes 2 mid and 2 end semester exams. Academics included real life skills up to some extent.
The fee paid for a year was about Rs. 75,000/-. For day scholar students, bus transportation was available with a fee of Rs. 5,000/- back in that time. Scholarship was provided by the Government for backward students. Full year fee was taken care of for such students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members were all well-educated. Teaching methods included blackboards, PPTs and projections. Faculty always tried to make students industry ready. Doubts were always clarified even if it was a little bit delayed. Teacher student ratio was around 1 teacher for every 30 students. Faculty members were always approachable when it was about the project or the subject.
 

Placement Rating
Placement Cell in G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College, Kurnool has helped many students secure the job needed for the start of their career. The placement activities start from the 7th semester. Much training was given by the Placement Cell to make the students ready. Many companies visit the College for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
The College provides girls’ hostel inside the campus itself. Boys’ hostel is outside the campus. There are 2 hostel buildings in the campus. Girls' hostel has option of AC and Non AC rooms with attached or common washrooms. Pure vegetarian food is provided in the hostel. The quality of food is very good. My hostel fee is Rs. 80,000/- per year. The hostel closes at 8:00 PM. My personal experience was very good at the hostel. A lot of memories can also be made there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
GPREC Kurnool has a huge campus having separate blocks for each branch. The campus also has a library, auditorium and seminar halls. Seating capacity of one classroom is around 60 students and every classroom has a projector. There are 2 food courts in the College. Separate gym is available for girls and boys. Transportation facilities are also available for the students. My favourite thing was the physics practical labs and the cultural fests which happen not so often in the College.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life at G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College, Kurnool is very good as there are lot of memories attached to it along with the studies. I have to mention that this College opened a path into the industry for me so that I can act upon my dreams. College does not feel so crowded. It feels calm. There are lot of clubs to join into. I was part of Bhuvanavijayam which basically hosts cultural fests in the College. Sports festival is celebrated every year by the name ‘Udaan’. Overall, my experience had everything a student should have. I had a good balance between academics and enjoyment.
