My Days at K.G. Joshi College of Arts & N.G. Bedekar College of Commerce Thane

Overall Rating
K.G. Joshi College of Arts & N.G. Bedekar College of Commerce, Thane is very reputed and famous College in Thane. It has a beautiful campus, strong academics, supportive faculties and fun & amazing events. I chose this College for how near it is to the station. If you’re looking for Colleges with big campus, great faculties, strong academics and fun events, this is the right choice.
 

Academics Rating
I had interest in Management that is why I chose Business Management Studies (BMS). I wanted to have a strong foundation in Business and Entrepreneurship. The 3 year course helped me build core Management skills like leadership and strategy. I specialised in Human Recourses which prepared me to face real life corporate challenges. The eligibility criteria is to pass High School with at least 45% marks (general category).
When I took admission my first year fee was Rs. 21,770/-. For the second year it was Rs. 23,163/- and third year was Rs. 26,137/-. There is an additional seminar fee for each year. Scholarship is available for reserved category students. Placement fee is charged in third year. The updated 1st year BMS fees is Rs. 31,430/-.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of K.G. Joshi College of Arts & N.G. Bedekar College of Commerce, Thane were good. We had teachers that were helpful and experienced. They were highly qualified and deeply knowledgeable. The teaching method of teachers was good. Some teachers would teach according to the books but some would go beyond the books and share & teach real life cases. It was necessary to attend the lecture or else the teachers won’t repeat what they taught in the last class. Overall, the faculty was good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the College offers placement opportunities to their students.
 

Hostel Rating
There are no hostels in K.G. Joshi College of Arts & N.G. Bedekar College of Commerce, Thane.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is decent. Campus is big with an average canteen and a decent Basketball Court. Classrooms are big enough with a whiteboard. The library was good with enough books. The canteen food was okay. There is a lot of greenery around the campus. The one thing about the campus which I feel should be improved is that there is a sewage line.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life of K.G. Joshi College of Arts & N.G. Bedekar College of Commerce, Thane is good. The crowd in the College is decent. There are many clubs available for students but I was not part of any. There are extracurricular activities that are conducted by the College. ‘Navarang’ and ‘Gandharva’ are my favourite events that are conducted in the College, with huge participation from different Colleges. There are many competitions conducted during the event. There are also fun and joyful activities for students in the event.

    Overall Rating
    The college conducts various activities like DLLE, NSS, Field Trip, etc. just like study tour. Students can get access to canteen foods which are literally outstanding in taste, get access to library and avail books for a minimum security deposit and return it back and get refund at every academic year.
