JB Law College Guwahati B.A.LL.B Fees is Rs. 17,800/- Per Year

My overall experience in JB Law College Guwahati is quite good. The reason behind I enroll myself in this College was that I always wanted to pursue my career in Law. The College is one of the oldest law Colleges and is still one of the famous one. It is situated exactly near the Commerce bus stop which makes it easy for the students to commute to College. The overall environment of the College is very good. The educational norms and the ways of teaching will always be the best for me. The College has strict attendance rule for the students and they have to maintain 70% attendance overall.

I'm currently enrolled in B.A.LL.B 5th semester. I always wanted to pursue my career in law as my uncle is an advocate in High Court. I was always intrigued by the courtrooms, preserving justice and other phenomenon of an Advocate which makes them to fight for justice. This College was my dream College and I can see both my dream of becoming an advocate and being enrolled in this College came true, though the former is still in process. As, this College gave an oral and written interview where many of our professors takes the interview. After passing the interview only, the College publishes the list of the selected candidates, then the required fees has to be submitted via online mode. The College also takes a sectional written exam and sectional oral (viva) exam which helps us to be preparing for the practical's and the final exams.

The fee structure of the College is quite flexible. The fees structure is Rs. 17,800/- annually and extra for practical’s. Before the finals, we have to pay a GU registration fees which varies. The payment mode is online and there's no exemption from the payment of the fees. The College also gives the facilities of the Government scholarship and other scholarships for the socially backward classes.

The faculty members of the College are quite friendly and their way of teaching is always very good. They give out assignments, notes of each and every topic for the exam and also take frequent tests. The faculty members are very renowned and have a great experience in their subject. They try to ease the pressure by not making the subjects complicate instead teach in such a way that it seems easy to remember all the sections. They often use notes, the blackboards, group discussions, doubt classes, and many more so that the students can understand well and can ask their doubts from the teachers.

Yes, JB Law College Guwahati does offer placements to the students. The College placement section is also good.

The College infrastructure is quite good. It is surrounded by the trees mostly and the environment is very peaceful. We have 4 to 5 floors and a lift whereas each floor conducts different classes of different semesters. We have one library where we can go and sit to study whenever we want during our College hours. The library has many books related to Law and we can borrow it with the given library card. The Canteen food is also very good. Canteen is the place where mostly students sit during lunch time. The College has a Moot Court where they hold competitions on regular basis to enhance the Advocacy skills of the students. College has a parking facility. My favorite place will always be the canteen where we can sit and chill.

The overall College campus life is good. The teaching staff, the faculty members and even the principal is quite friendly. The seniors are also very friendly and helpful. We have a union who organize many activities like College week where many Sports, Cultural programs, and many more are organized in the College. We have many clubs like Debate, Literature, and many more where the students can take part. College organized Freshers’ and Farewell for the students. Many festivals are also celebrated together in the College.
