A Training and Placement Cell is Present at AKGEC Ghaziabad

My overall experience in AKGEC Ghaziabad was good. The factors that made me choose this College was good ranking and it is affiliated by AKTU. It is in Delhi NCR which helps to get good exposure to more things. I got this College through counselling on the basis of my JEE Main score. This College provides TIFAC and AKGEC Skill Foundation. The provides courses like NI LabVIEW, Embedded IoT, Kuka Robotics, and many more which help us to gain hand on experience on machineries

I have chosen Electronics and Communication Engineering as it is easy to dive into both fields as Government core fields or Private IT field. I like the concept of this subject and pursuing this branch would benefit me a lot which is one of the reasons I chose this course. There are two ways to get into this College which is either by UPTEC counseling or by management quota on the basis of marks obtained in PCM in class 12th. In direct admission, marks criteria is for all i.e. more than 75% in PCM while in counseling, the score with reservations of categories and home state plays the vital role in admission. The teachers are well qualified and the exams are taken at regular basis. Every semester consist of 4 exams in which 3 are internal and 1 is end semester exam with 2 internal vivas and one external practical exam.

In first year, student have to pay Rs. 1,40,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- is security money which is returned back to the individual once their degree is completed. The fee has to be paid yearly and from second year the fee structure is introduced. Every year fee structure is different for all other branches. Scholarships are provided to EWS claimed students which is students who are from financially weak family background and their annual income of their family is less than or equal to Rs. 8,00,000/- gets the discount on fees.

The faculty is pretty supportive. They support during class, projects or in labs. The teachers usually use both the smart board and blackboard for teaching. They explained it first and if we have any doubt then re explained it. Teacher to student ratio is proper as all sections of all branches are provided with the teachers. They are helpful and co-operative towards students.

Yes, AKGEC Ghaziabad offers placements to the students. The companies visits College with good offer as some are core companies and some of them are IT companies. The companies recently visited for my branch specifically this year is Ericsson Mobile Communications and BlauPlug Innovations for hiring.

Yes, they provide accommodations to the students. They have separate hostels for boys and girls. The mess food has variety which includes three time food and evening snacks. The food is quite good. The hostel annual fees is around Rs. 1,20,000/- per year with extra Rs. 10,000/- in first year as security money which will be returned to the individual once they leave the hostel with no due slip.

The campus have different buildings as per the departments such as Mechanical Block, ECE Block, CSIT Block, Lecture Halls, Theatres, and many more. The classrooms and Library have AC services. The College has many spots to chill around in the campus but the favorite spot has to be Mechanical Canteen. The classrooms have sitting capacity of 50-60 students. They provide labs with equipped components and power supply which helps us to get hands on experience.

My overall campus life was good. It would be beneficial for you if you join any societies . There are many societies like Technical, Cultural or Managerial society which is run by students. As being involved in these societies would give you the exposure of participating in other prestigious Colleges. The College crowd is average. Some Technical societies are also run by faculties. We have annual events like Fresher's, Farewell, Diwali Fair, Kavi Sammelan, TED x AKGEC and many more.
