SIT Sitamarhi: Affordable Fees with Excellent Placement Assistance

Overall Rating
My overall experience at SIT Sitamarhi is moderate where the curriculum is not too strict so you can improve yourself in your free time. The main reason for choosing this Institute is, this is really affordable and it is a Government Institution. Its return on investment is good and also alumni network is getting strong day by day recently where one of our senior has secured a rank of 22 in GATE exam.
 

Academics Rating
The Institution is affiliated to Bihar Engineering University. I have chosen B.Tech CSE (AI ML) because it is an emerging field. There are 6 branches in total in this Institution. It is really simple to take admission in this Institute, you just have to give the JEE Main exam and then sit for counselling done by Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counselling. In this course, exams are conducted in every 6 months for 4 years. Academics really prepare an individual to tackle the real life challenges.
The fee is very nominal, just Rs. 120/- for tuition fee and Rs. 7400/- is the exam fee per year. There is fee concession for SC & ST in exam fee where they only have to pay Rs. 1400/- per year. There is a scholarship named Post Matric Scholarship which is given to SC, ST, OBC, and EwS category students.
 

Faculty Rating
Here, faculties are well qualified and they are selected after giving the exam conducted by BPSC. They use both PPTs and whiteboard to clear our concepts. The professors have good problem solving abilities. Student to teacher ratio is, for 12 students there is one educator. They are polite, humble and always motivates us to achieve our goals.
 

Placement Rating
In SIT Sitamarhi, Placement Cell is active and often provides opportunities to seven and eight semester students. The companies visit the Institute and hire talented individuals and they also organise campus placements too. However, the average package is around 4.5 LPA and highest package is 7 LPA. As I am currently in 5th semester, I have completed my Internship.
 

Hostel Rating
This Institute provides residential facilities for both boys and girls where both have separate accommodations. There are 3 boys' and 2 girls' hostels where each room is allotted to 3 students. In each room, there are 3 beds, 3 chairs and 3 tables, and room is spacious as well. Proper sanitation and hygiene is maintained here. Mess food quality is average. There are no strict timings for boys, but for girls curfew timings are 6:00 PM. The rules here are not that strict. Hostel is the best option if you are studying in this Institute.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The academic block of the campus is well maintained with various labs theat functions well for each department and also a central library is present which includes various quality books and journals. The classrooms have the capacity of 60 students with digital boards installed. We also have seminar halls for organising events. Various playgrounds are there like Cricket ground, Volleyball court, Basketball courts, and various indoor games like Table Tennis, Badminton, etc. You can find various food stalls just outside the Institute. My favourite thing here is sitting on the ground with friends and studying in library.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life at SIT Sitamarhi is decent. The crowd is average and approximately 1000 students are present here. There are various clubs like coding club which I am a part of, and literature club. There is also a fest organised every year in the month of January which is arranged in every division of the state and, they play and compete in various sports.
