Academics and Campus Life at CIPET Ahmedabad

Overall Rating
My overall experience at the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology Ahmedabad was good. This Institute is good in every aspect and various facilities are available for the students. One of the things that I liked about this Institute was its ragging-free campus. The students indulging in such activities had to face serious consequences. According to me, it is a great Institute for study purposes.
 

Academics Rating
My Institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU). I chose Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic). The eligibility criteria for admission is passing 10+2 with good marks. The students are also required to do internships. They provide practical knowledge to the students however, the academics at this Institute are average.
The annual fee of my course was around Rs. 24,000/-. The Institute also provided scholarship to the meritorious students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of my course were highly qualified. All of the teachers had done Masters in their respective field. They were active in solving all the doubts of the students. The teaching methods included Blackboard, PPTs, Projectors, etc. They also included real-life examples in their teaching so the students could connect and learn better. Overall, the teachers were great.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a Placement Cell. The placements of my course were really good. Around 90% of students get placed every year.
 

Hostel Rating
The Institute also provides accommodation facilities to the students. There are 3 hostel blocks and 4 to 5 students can live in each room. Mess is available at the hostel which serves 4 meals a day including Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, and Dinner. The hostel fee during my time was around Rs. 10,000/- per semester.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The Academic blocks at the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology Ahmedabad campus consist of 5 floors. The campus has huge Library which is equipped with all types of books and magazines. The Classrooms are equipped with comfortable seating. Moreover, there are other facilities such as Labs, Seminar Halls, Conference Halls, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, my campus life at CIPET Ahmedabad was good. There are more than 400 students studying in this Institute. Moreover, extracurricular activities on a regular basis. Various fests and events are also organised for the students. It has been an enjoyable experience for me.

    Being a son of army men my father was disciplined and taught us discipline right from the word goes. Cleanliness and use of natural resources to their fullest enticed me from an early age. CIPET is one such institute that has many branches and I did my B. Tech in Plastic Technology from their institute in Ahmedabad.
