St. Wilfred's College for Girls Jaipur is Affiliated to Rajasthan University (UNIRAJ)

I joined the St. Wilfred's College for Girls Jaipur in June 2022. It is affiliated to Rajasthan University (UNIRAJ). I evolved both as a student and a professional with the help of this Institute and the faculties. The teachers were very supportive in the process of learning and developing new skills. The infrastructure was great; it aligned well with both academic needs and co-curricular activities. I chose the Institute mainly for it being an only girls’ Institute but things like NSS, Sports, classes for Government exams, and placement records made it really more appealing.

I enrolled as a student of BBA in this Institute. I chose this Institute for this course because of the qualified teachers for my subjects. I was counselled by a teacher of my course. The teacher really helped me with the decision without pressurising me but really identifying how will it help me in the future. The eligibility criteria for getting into this Institute for BBA was getting a minimum required percentage in the 12th boards. The Exams were conducted as per the guidance of the Rajasthan University. At my time, the exams were only yearly and not semester wise. It changed as per the University guidelines. The Academics included various Field Trips and practical real-life projects.

For my course, the total fee per year was around Rs. 32,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- which we paid year wise. The Institute also provides with the option to pay the fee in installments, but the fees of a year is compulsory to be cleared before the final examination of that year.

The faculty members of my course had good educational backgrounds. I had an English Communication teacher who had a background of teaching from abroad and also in the IIM Ahmedabad. She helped us a lot with personality development and body language skills required in the real corporate world. Her teaching methods were really interesting, she taught us different skills with various playful activities and Audio-Visual lessons. Our faculty used various engaging methods like Projects, Activities, Rapid Fire, Debates, and more to teach us. Teachers paid attention to our problems and helped us overcome any confusions or doubts. Each class had maximum 30 to 35 students which made it quiet easier for the teachers to pay attention on each student. The Institute had really approachable teachers, not just in my course but every teacher was really supportive and friendly to connect with.

The Institute has an active Placement Cell which constituted of key faculty members, class representatives, special staff, and senior students. The Cell helped students by constantly updating students through an active WhatsApp group regarding new opportunities, skill development classes, and new webinars which were essential to be attended. The Institute constantly motivated and supported students to join new internships together with the studies. The packages offered by companies were good. I was placed as an intern in the first year and was hired in the same company later. The Institute was very supportive for students who worked along with studies. I was doing a full-time job after the internship and the faculty helped me keep proper pace with my studies and clear my exams with good grades.

The Institute has a hostel within the campus. The hostel has good space and furnished rooms. I had a few classmates who used to live in the hostel. The students had access to Washing Machines. It was an only girls’ hostel and the staff were females as well. The hostel served good quality of food, served 3 times with a glass of milk both in the morning and at night. The hostel did not allow students to go outside the premises without a pass that was granted by senior teachers or after talking to the parents of the students.

The St. Wilfred's College for Girls Jaipur infrastructure was divided among different departments. The campus had Library, Bio Labs, Chemistry Labs, Fashion Rooms for Design students, Seminar Hall, Dance Hall, Audio Visual Rooms, and more. We had a Sports Section both for indoor and outdoor games. We had a Canteen with a variety of dishes on the menu, made freshly and served with hygiene at affordable prices. The Institute had a strict Security and no one was allowed to enter without an entry in the register. My favourite places during my journey in the Institute were the Library, the Corridor where we could sit & talk, and the Canteen.

Overall my campus life was full of different experiences and activities. The Students were really engaging and I made friends from different sections & courses throughout the Clubs and activities in the Institute. The Clubs included literary club, NSS, sports club, and more. The Institute organised different inter-college activities which included both educational and extra-curricular activities. I participated in singing events, carnivals, science fair, and more. We used to celebrate all kinds of festivals with different activities and competitions. I learned so much from all the activities. Moreover, I enjoyed them and made a lot of good memories that I will carry for life.
