Adhunik College of Engineering B.Tech Review By Shivam Jaiswal

Adhunik College of Engineering is affiliated to AKTU Lucknow so this is not a private university although it is private institute and we have to go to another college to give the final semester exams. My overall experience in the college was a disappointment and there are many reasons for that and one main reason is that the placements and the infrastructure is not good in the college and other than these things other things like faculties, college resources and other amenities are also not fine in the department of civil engineering and also in the other departments. I choose this college because I could not get the other college due to the late admission after my intermediate and I did not wanted to take admission in this college and I will not endorse to take admission in this college.

My course was Civil Engineering and this branch is consider as the worst branch as far as the placements are concerned but other than the job in private sector, there are many job through this branch in government sector and there are many opportunities in many ministries in the government of India. Entry requirement in this course is that we should have done our 12th class with physics, chemistry and mathematics. Admission process is also very simple you just need to visit Adhunik College of Engineering campus directly and apply there for the preferred branch and submit the fee for the course which is usually around sixty thousand per year. Course curriculum was not hard to cover and it can be cover by regularly attending the classes with some dedication.

There were six subjects in each semester till six semesters and after that four subjects in a semester and we encounter many faculty members and some we like and some we do not like and in this college I did not have feeling of teaching because majority of the subjects I learn from the you tube. Some teachers were very good and their style of teaching was different than the other teachers who just are not able to teach us anything. All the practical subjects we qualified by just studying the lab manual and perform all the work in the lab without doing any creative. Not every teacher in the college is a research students and majority of the professor in the institute are just M.Tech qualified only. Teaching style is more or less is same of the teachers and majority of them teaching by PPT.

In my class there were 60 students and only 7 of them were placed and the main reason behind that was companies that visited the campus ground were came only for the computer science students and those seven students of my class only placed in the software engineering profile and average salary if them were around 3.5 LPA. So the placement department of college is very dull for us and they did not even help us to get quality internships in the good companies and no internship with stipend was available in the campus. Placement cell in Adhunik College is good for the computer students and other than them the state of the placements for the for the core engineering branches is very bad we have to prepare for the exams like CUET, CAT or GATE.

Hostels are available in the college and the hostel fee is also very decent for the average family students and I feel that the institute should be famous for the quality of the hostel. Being many problems in the academics, faculty, and placements the best thing about institute should be the placements in the college because they are really very good and mess is also good and the food quality is also good in the hostel. Although I would not recommend staying in the college hostel unless you are girl because the society near the campus is not good but for the boys staying outside the college is best. But staying inside the campus has its own positive factors like we can be involved in many activities inside the college hostel. Hostel infrastructure is good and it looks attractive.

There are two academic blocks for the whole engineering part of the Adhunik Group of Institutions and we can only access the engineering part of the campus and we are not allowed to go to the other department of the college. Workshop for the first year students is very good in the college and mostly majority of the laboratories are well furnished and they have all the required tools and technologies but I was not happy by the quality of the lab instructors. Ground of the institute is decent and I spent a lot of time there with friends. But the architecture of the college is not modern and It really look old and out of time. Worst thing about the college infrastructure us that they do not upgrade their resources to grow the institute. Classrooms, academic blocks. Administrative blocks are very good.

Life in the Adhunik College of Engineering was boring for me because in my first, second and third year I just go to class and go back to the hostel then again study the same topic from the you tube for the better understanding for the topics and in the final year I prepared for the GATE exam because my plan was to go for the M. Tech from a good college. Many activities happen in the institute but there are only two major activities that happen in the institute on a good scale. One event is the annual fest of the college and another is the DJ night in the campus and other than these fest college life is full of academic and less of extracurricular activities. There are many clubs in the institute and all of the clubs are run by the faculty members and each clubs plan their recruitment process for the selection of the students.
