My Valuable Experience at SMS Varanasi

Overall Rating
The overall experience at School of Management Sciences Varanasi was good. The College was quite moderate and the facilities & infrastructure were the best parts of it. The admission process was very simple and student-friendly. The whole administrative area was very consumer-friendly. In my opinion, it was just a typical Private College which enabled the students to get a degree in a field they like in exchange for a certain amount of fee. There was not anything different in this Institution.
 

Academics Rating
I chose the course of B.Com (Hons.) just for the sake of getting into any Accountancy firm or Business. The College conducted its own Private entrance examination for admission which was conducted online. It was for the name only as all the students who applied got selected. Exams were held after each semester. It did not give any real-life skills and was just a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce for applying to various examinations after you get the degree.
The fee was around Rs. 54,000/- per year and the course was of 3 years. There was no discount for any categories however, some students who scored good marks in Intermediate got some discount. The scholarship was minimal and mostly around Rs. 5000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members at SMS Varanasi were approachable and very cooperative. They were one of the best faculty members that one could ask for. The method of teaching included Blackboard and Group Discussions. All of the professors and teachers were Ph.D holders. The teacher-student ratio was 1:30. My experience with the faculty was literally excellent. Their problem-solving skills were top-notch. The professors were also quite active during the fests and other programs held in College.
 

Placement Rating
The School has Training and Placement Cell.
 

Hostel Rating
The College provided residential facilities to it students. However, I did not opt for it. From what I heard, the College was quite far from the hostel area and the boys’ and girls’ hostels were separate.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of School of Management Sciences Varanasi was fabulous. All the facilities were provided and easily available for the students. The Canteen rates were quite reasonable and the food was good. The Park area of the College was the best as the students enjoyed their College life along with their Academic life. Students often roamed around the College, enjoying the beauty of the infrastructure and the surroundings.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life was extravagant. The people there socialised a lot. There were a few Clubs and I was a part of the Reading Club. There were frequent fests organised by the College and were mostly Sports based. Overall campus life could not have been better without friends. I will remember my friends for life. The experience that College gave me was memorable and enabled me to paint the tapestry of a bright future. The girl to boy ratio was 2:1.
