Admission in SAMCH Indore are Based on NEET Scores

I am a student of Batch 2020-2021, and my overall experience has been outstanding in this College. This College has given me a lot of exposure about the field of Ayurveda, and opened up many new avenues for further career. Even though I was one of those people who chose Ayurveda by choice, after taking admission in this College, I came to know a lot more things about Ayurveda than i ever did. This College focuses on building of strong concepts and clinical knowledge of both Ayurvedic and modern studies.

The course opted my me is BAMS; that is- Bachelors of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. This is a 5.5-year course with 4.5 years of academics and 1 year of Internship. The 4.5 years are distributed into three professional years, each of 1.5 years. The academic structure follows the pattern recommended by the National Council of Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). The College is affiliated to Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU), Jabalpur. The examinations are conducted by MPMSU at the intervals of 18-22 months. Admissions to BAMS courses are through National Eligibility cum Entrance exam (NEET).

The fees varies every year, with current fees approximately Rs. 10,00,000/- to Rs. 11,00,000/- for the entire course duration. While taking admission, the first year fees has to be paid along with registration fees and the remaining fees is paid in a yearly manner. There are scholarships from the government for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other Backward Classes.

The faculties are highly educated, possessing Post Graduation and Ph.D degrees from various reputed Colleges of the country. They have thorough knowledge, and teach with high sincerity and dedication- in a manner that inspires the students to perform their best in studies. All the concepts are cleared from the very beginning and it is made sure that no student is left behind. Various activities are conducted by the faculties to make learning more fun and interactive so that the students understand the concept very well. They are not just academicians, but also behave as guides and mentors with whom the students can share any issues they face, be it academic or personal. In every batch, there are mentors assigned to students in such a manner that there are approximately 10 students under each mentor. Doubt- solving and exam oriented guidance is given to all the students whenever required.

The faculties prepare the students in such a manner that they can efficiently appear for various competitive examinations for post graduation and for jobs like Medical Officers, Research Officers, etc.

The campus is situated outside the city in a village named Datoda. It has 2 blocks in the entire campus, one of which belongs to nursing College and other to Ayurveda College. The classrooms are properly ventilated and well lit, and have AV aids and smart learning class’s techniques. The intake capacity is 100 students. Other facilities like Library, Pathology Lab, Diagnostic lab, and so on are available. The College consists of 2 auditoriums, one small and one big (with around seating capacity of minimum 300 to 400 people) There is a canteen, constant medical assistance, and transport system is available from the College to the student's residence.

Overall, campus life is good. Irrespective of continuous studies, the College organizes sports and cultural fests every year where the students display their talents and sportsmanship. The College also organizes seminars and conferences where eminent speakers are invited to share their knowledge with the students. In between, various other programs are also organized to build overall personality of students like cyber security, investments, spirituality, mental awareness, etc. So, overall the College life is good and promising.
