My overall experience in my College is good. I chose this College is due to its disciplined culture. Besides education, it also helps students become successful individuals in future. This is because faculty & other staff members are supportive with the students.

I chose Computer Engineering as I had interest in this field of game development and web designing from an early age. Your admission in the College is dependent on your MHTCET and board exam results. There are two counsellings via which seats are allotted, first one is CAP and another one is SPOT. The frequency of examination is decent. Once a semester starts, you have to give mid semester exams and after 1-2 months, you have your end semester exams. In total, there are 8 semesters in my course. The academics prepare well for real world problem as our department motivates us to participate in different events such as Ideathons and hackathons where we solve industry given problem statements and get better practical knowledge.

For general category students, the fees is Rs. 1,40,000/- per year. For SC/ST students, it is between Rs. 35,000/- to Rs. 55,000/-. In addition, other than that, you can fill a scholarship form, which can reduce your College fees to nearly Rs. 6000/- for a year.

The faculty is efficiently qualified for teaching and is very well experienced in their respective subjects and fields. They are helpful throughout the sessions & are keen to help after academic hours. You can ask your doubts and they open to guide you for your ideas, career, and other things. In our department, there are around 360 students and 16 teachers in total. Every teacher has his / her unique way of teaching. Some prefer PPTs while others prefer blackboards for better understanding of students. Most of the teachers in our College are Ph.D holders or have done Master’s in their subjects.

The placement record of my College is decent. The companies come in College to recruit fourth year students. Top companies that come to my College are Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest and average package offered by companies is 9 LPA and 4 LPA, respectively. Then the percentage of student being placed is somewhere around 70-80%.

The hostel is near to College campus, which has basic amenities such as mess, gym, etc. mess food is good in quality, and healthy. The infrastructure of the hostels is good separate. The registration process to apply for hostel is very easy.

There are three blocks, one for core branches, second for soft branches, and third one is For Post Graduation students. Labs such as computer lab, IoT lab and others are present at the campus. A huge library is present at the College as well. Besides this, there are grounds & courts for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and other games.

Campus life at St Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology Nagpur is great but it feels strict here for first year student because they take attendance stuff really. Activities like Hackathon, Cipher, Code Arena, and many others are held.
