UG, PG, Certificate, and Diploma Level Courses are available at National PG College Lucknow

I recently took admission into this Prestigious College famous for education in Commerce. I cleared the entrance test for Lucknow University as well but chose this as it specialises in the field of Commerce education. Moreover, it was in proximity to my home and is situated in the heart of the city of Lucknow. I am very impressed by the campus atmosphere and the discipline it imparts. I would suggest others who want to pursue higher education in commerce; this College is one of the best in the whole state.

I chose the B.Com (NEP) course. It is a 3 years programme, which can be optionally extended to 4 years. One needs to appear for LUACCET – a ‘Lucknow University Associated Colleges Common Entrance Test’, if one wishes to take admission. Based on the rank attained in this exam, one may get regular or self-finance seat. There are 3 exams in a semester, which are 2 unit tests and 1 theory exam. Total marks distribution per subject is 100 marks. The curriculum here is well updated according to the latest market standards and College has tie ups with many institutions for providing industrial training to students.

For my, there are mainly 2 types of course- Regular and Self-Finance. For regular, course fee is about Rs. 8000/- per year while for self-finance it can raise upto Rs. 25,000/- per year. B.Com with different specializations can have much more fees depending on the course. Students can get UP scholarship by filling out the form (only for UP students).

Faculty members of the National PG College Lucknow are highly qualified coming from top Universities like BHU. They are supportive and are always available for students. Classes have blackboards. Teacher-student ratio is about 1:20. Faculty members help the student’s right from the beginning of counselling and guide them through the whole process. Additionally, they arrange special doubt sessions for the students so that their concepts become clear. Overall, we can say that faculty members are very good.

The campus area of the National PG College Lucknow is around 20 acres. It has separate blocks for different faculties like Science block. It has a canteen, which provides variety of food products and that too keeping in mind hygiene. The College is well connected to other parts of the city through metro, buses, etc. The campus has 2 auditorium halls for organising different programs. It has a dedicated Sports Complex where students can get to play different sports and can practice. Library here is abundant with all useful for the curriculum and one does not need to buy any books from outside.

Overall campus life is good. Classes are here every for 3 hours. The students here are not just ordinary ones. You will come across some of the cream students of the state in this College. Extracurricular activities are arranged time to time and the participation of the students is encouraged. College fests are also organised every year, which gives one opportunity to display their talents.
